Another Christmassy Weekend

We have been so Christmassy this holiday season, and this past weekend was no exception!  Friday afternoon, Kathryn had her Christmas program at The Red Barn.  She sang several songs including "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and "Frosty the Snowman."  Kathryn did a great job singing with her friends.  It was too cute!

Saturday, Kyle and I went to church and volunteered for the A Soldier's Child Christmas event.  The event was so fun.  It always feels so good to help out at things like this.  Next year, we will plan to help again and will have Kathryn go with us and help too.
Mine and Kyle's craft table...it was so fun helping kids create gingerbread notebooks
After church, we went to ICE at Opryland.  It was so fun (and COLD!!!).  Kathryn had a really good time.  We paid for the VIP tickets (this allowed us to by pass an enormous line plus it included hot cocoa at the end as well as a meet and greet with Gingy).  The meet and greet with Gingy was definitely Kathryn's favorite part.  She was so excited.

Hot coca...it was Delish!
Then we headed to the Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland (a mega drive thru light show synchronized to music).  I was a little miffed that the cost was $25 to drive through, but it was well worth it.  We will definitely do this again next year.

Sunday was a very special day for our family.  We dedicated Kaden to the Lord and committed to raise him in a Christian environment.  We feel honored and blessed that God has given us two children to raise.  We give all the glory to Him. (Pictures to come...they are on my mom's camera)

After the service on Sunday, we went to the country club for a Santa Brunch.  Momma Hope, Momma Pam, Mimi, Papa, Haven, and Robert joined us.  We had a yummy lunch, and Kathryn and Kaden got to see Santa.
Kathryn showing Santa her baby brother Kaden...so sweet...she is such a Proud Big Sister!

After brunch, we headed home to bake and decorate cookies.  Kathryn loved sprinkling green and red sugar on the cookies.

And Sunday night, I met up with a few girls for dinner and an ornament exchange.  It was a much needed girls dinner.  We had lots of fun catching up.  What a wonderful weekend!  Full of family, friends, and festive fun!
