Busy Times!!!

It has been a BUSY almost two weeks...The weekend before Thanksgiving, I spent time at home cleaning out, cleaning, and organizing.  With Christmas coming, I needed to do this!  I spent last week prepping to host my first Thanksgiving at my house...cleaning, cooking, and food prepping.  Kathryn was a great helper, and we had lots of fun Wednesday getting everything ready.

Then Thursday morning happened...my mom got really sick and was life flighted to Nashville due to bleeding on her brain.  Saturday she had an aneurysm coiled, however, that was not the source of bleeding.  So, she is in Neuro ICU as they work through everything...monitoring her blood pressure and managing her pain.  I have been busy between working and being in Nashville.  Kyle has been SUPER dad for sure!  He has been amazing and very supportive during this time.

And, to top it off, Phyllis was taken to the hospital late Saturday night.  She ended up having her gall bladder taken out on Sunday and gall stones taken out on Monday. 

This was definitely not our typical Thanksgiving weekend, and a weekend I hope to never repeat.   

We did manage to go see The Grinch at The Grand Ole Opry on Sunday.  The kids LOVED it and I did too!

A Long Weekend Wrap Up...

Friday was Veteran's Day...and the stars were aligned...no school meant that I did not have to take a personal day for Christmas Village.  This is an annual girls trip and one of my favorite events of the year!  Friday also gave time for Kyle to hang with the kiddos.  They went to day care for part of the day, and he took them to the movies for an afternoon treat.  Saturday afternoon we went to the APSU football game, and Sunday was church and celebrating the Luther's 50th wedding anniversary.  50 years...what an example they have set for us all!!!  Sunday afternoon...the stomach bug hit our home...Kaden, then Kathryn, and then me...it was terrible.  But, we are all on the mend now.  Also, yesterday I took my ACE exam and PASSED!!!!!  I am officially a certified personal trainer!  I am excited to have these credentials and grow in this area of my life!

Weekend Wrap Up: APSU Style: Basketball and Football

We love APSU!  Friday night we went to the basketball game, and Saturday was the football game.  Luckily, Kathryn and Kaden love APSU too, so they look forward to the games!  Here is my boy with the Gov...that smile says it all!
