Ending of September 2020

My 14 day quarantine is coming to an end...today is my last day home...so tomorrow...back to normal.  I can't lie, I have LOVED every minute of being off.  I have been able to get so much done during the day.  It's been awesome!  But, I do know I need to work, so back to reality I go!

Today is also a Remote Learning Day for Kathryn and Rossview Middle.  We have so many teachers in either quarantine or out due to other reasons, that we didn't have enough people to cover classes.  So, all the students are home today for Remote Instruction.  Kathryn is loving it so far.  Luckily, it is just one day...right now.  We are the first school to go Remote for our district.  I think she is going to have an awesome day!

Remote Learning

I have loved taking this guy to school every morning.  We have had so much fun.  We started reading each morning and that has been great too!  I will definitely miss taking him each morning!

And just like that, I am in a 14 day Quarantine

Last Wednesday, my co worker woke up sick with a fever.  He and his family went to get tested for Covid, and they all ended up testing positive.  Because of the nature of our job, being together all day, and we all eat together (we thought we were far enough apart, but in reality, we were about 5 to 5 and a half feet apart)...the entire PE department had to quarantine.  We were sent home mid day on September 16th, and we will return to work on Tuesday, September 29th.  Instead of being bummed about this, I decided to make the most of it!  I have taken advantage of sleeping in each morning until 6 AM...I usually wake up at 4:25 AM each morning to work out before work and since I can't go to the gym, I am sleeping in!  Kathryn and I have an easy, not rushed commute to school.  I come back home and take Kaden to school.  He and I have had fun waiting in the parent drop off line.  We have started reading books each morning which has been fun.  Afterwards, I either spend the day outside walking and/or in the house cleaning out.  Last Thursday, I did a few things work related and walked.  Last Friday I went to the Bicentennial trail and walked 8 miles, the weather was perfect!  While walking I listened to Dolly Parton's America which was really good.  Saturday morning, Kyle and I bike 8 miles and then walked about 4 miles...it was a perfect morning.  Sunday, I stayed home quarantined, while Kyle and the kids went to church.  Monday and Tuesday, I cleaned out the house all day.  And today, Wednesday, I am catching up on work related things, Christmas lists, and blogging.  Again, trying to be productive during this unexpected time off, and yet still relaxing!  I have a few more days off.  I plan to relax some more and get a few more things accomplished!

Cleaning out all the drawers, closets, etc!  I love cleaning out and reorganizing!

I have really loved taking him to school each morning...I never get to do this.  We have taken full advantage by getting breakfast several mornings as well as taking his teacher treats (Starbucks and cookies from Golly Gs)

Found this drawing by Kaden...all the Star Wars characters

Also found this...I am thankful for my family.  I am thankful for my food.

All the Nike apparel and a leather jacket = Fashion!

Homemade Pizza night...Kaden and Kathryn made their own and Kyle made one for us.  They waited right by the oven while it baked!

Also found this sweet note in Kaden's room while cleaning out...I love you Kaden!  You are amazing.  Even though you can get on my nerves I will always love you.  Love, Kathryn (Sissy)

Last Sunday, she wanted to stay home and Kyle made her ride with him to pick up lunch...she was not happy.  LOL!!!

Biking 8 miles with Kyle and then walking 4 miles made for a perfect Saturday morning

Last Friday: They waited all week for Friday so they could watch movies together.  I love how much they love each other and I pray that never changes.

Pictures from my 8 mile walk last Friday...I walked solo and love every second of it.
