Weekend Wrap Up

We had a wonderful weekend full of beautiful weather!  Friday night was spent at home sweet home.  Saturday, Kathryn went to the Preds hockey game with Uncle Michael.  Kaden and I went to a baby shower, and Kyle went to an annual Pike meeting.  Afterwards, I worked the CMCSS triathlon which was a lot of fun.  I was so impressed with all the competitors.  They were awesome.  And, Saturday night, we all met back up at APSU for the basketball game.  AND...at the game, the raffle drawing was held for the $20,000...Guess What?!?!?!?  Papa won!!!!!  I couldn't even believe it!!!!!  Sunday, the girls and I went on our annual Candlelight Ball dress shopping trip to Greenhills and as usual, had a blast.  I am so blessed with family and friends (and for temps in the 70's in February!).

This game was several weeks ago...but I forgot to post it...Kaden is the Gov's biggest fan for sure!

Kaden and the Gov

This was last Saturday
EVERY single game...he wants to take his pic with the Gov...I actually love it!  He is a future Governor for sure!!!

Congrats to our Papa

Dave was inducted into APSU's Red Coat Society this past Saturday.  He is such a deserving person for this honor.  He loves Austin Peay and has given much of his time and talents to the university.  We are certainly proud of him!!!  We love you Papa!!!

Our Deer Friends
I finally got caught up in January only to fall behind in February.  Tis life!  We have all been doing well.  We got quite a bit of snow in January and took full advantage by playing in it.  We stay busy during the week between work and after school activities (I have an after school club everyday, Kathryn has gymnastics on Mondays, and she has harp lessons on Wednesdays).  Weekends we try to keep it simple.  We did go to Tunica two weekends ago (Valentines Weekend), and we had a blast as usual.  This is one weekend getaway I always look forward to.  It is so nice to have no responsibilities for the time we are gone.  This past Sunday we went to visit my Momma Hope.  I really need to be more intention spending time with her.  So, I definitely plan to do this more often.  February has been a great month so far!  We SOLD our Southpoint house.  This has been a burden since last April, so we are glad to have that chapter of life closed.  It is truly bittersweet, because we made so many wonderful memories in that home.  However, we absolutely love our new home and look forward to being here a long time.
