Kaden: Tball Time

This boy is SO EXCITED for Tball!!!  I am most excited that Kyle and Kaden have something special they are doing together.  Hopefully this will be a fun experience for them both!

Kathryn: 3rd Nine Weeks Awards

We are so proud of this girl.  She works hard, and she achieves her goals.  For the 3rd nine weeks, she earned all A's and reached her AR goal.  She is awesome!  (and note, this was her first day back to school post flu...she looks a little tired)

Drumline Live

Monday night we took the kids to see Drumline Live...they LOVED it!!!  The music was amazing.  Kaden has always loved the drums, so he was beyond excited for this.  We are blessed to live so close to Nashville and get to experience these fun events with the kids.

Bday Celebrating with Winston

Sunday Dak came over for several hours to play with Winston...this is always a great time for the dogs...they play hard and wear each other completely out!
Sharing a stick
Bath time at Pet Food Center...wonderful idea...I didn't mess up my own bathroom bathing him!
Brothers...they love each other!!!

Kathryn: Flu B...UGH!

And then Sunday morning looked like this...Kathryn woke up crying Sunday morning and was very sick.  Flu season has hit Clarksville hard, and I was hoping we would escape it.  Not the case, she tested positive for Flu B.  She is back at school today and is so much better.  Fingers crossed no one else gets this mess!

Saturday Fun

This past Saturday was filled with celebrating Winston's first bday and seeing the movie Beauty and the Beast.  The movie was WONDERFUL!  We ate tons of popcorn and had a blast.  Momma Pam even joined us!
I think the kids were a little tired after the movie...this was on our way home

Winston is 1!!!

On March 18th, Winston turned the Big 1!!!  He is certainly a lot of work, but I love him so much!  He is FINALLY starting to calm down...a little...which is nice.  He really is a great dog and is perfect for our family.

Dear Future Mrs.

Dear Future Mrs. Kaden Davis Luther,

There are several things I need to share with you.

First, I need you to understand that Kaden was a gift sent to me.  God knew that Kaden would perfectly complete our family.  Everyday single day, I am thankful that God chose me to be Kaden's mother...even though some days are CRAZY...I wouldn't have life any other way.  As a perfectly imperfect mom, I am trying my absolute best to raise a young man that is God fearing, hard working, trust worthy, loving, caring, helpful, considerate, and well rounded.  I am quite certain that I mess this up daily.  None of us are perfect.

Second, I need you to understand that Kaden is a very special person to me because he is my son.  He is a part of me.  The day I found out I was pregnant with him, I loved him.  That love only continues to grow.  I only want what is the best for him, and I always pray for his future to be filled with faith, love, and happiness.

Kaden is a "Momma's boy." And, I am okay with that.  He loves me...very much.  When he is sad, mad, scared, excited, hurt...he wants me.  I know that as he grows older this will change, but I feel that at the root of his core, any strong emotions that he feels, he will want me.

I pray for my son to find a loving Christian wife.  Someone who will add to his happiness.  Someone to support him and love him for who he is including all his imperfections.  Someone that he loves, respects, and wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Future Mrs., one day if it's in God's plan, I hope you and Kaden will have children, because only then will you truly understand the emotions from this letter.  Until then, please know that my intentions are good.  I love my son so much and need you to know that.

Love,
His Mom

Kaden and his candy...he has a BIG sweet tooth!

Kaden comes in... Mommy, I have bad news and good news... The bad news is that these are all gone (box of whoppers that belong to Kathryn ), the good news is I still have my box of chocolates (milk duds).  I ask, who ate the whoppers, he proudly states, I did... That kid...

ROES Stem Night

Kathryn was chosen to represent her class...only 4 students were chosen, so this was a true honor.  We are so proud of Kathryn!!!  Her class did not win the competition, but they had fun creating their guitars.  Ms. Tilton, Kathryn, Owen Martin, Jeremiah, and Elijah Fuller

I went to check on Kbug two nights ago, and this is what I found
He was a SWEATY mess!  I did move him out of the bag and into his bed.
This girl...working on an art project while watching wrestling...she is well rounded for sure!

Celebrating Kathryn's Straight A's and Art Class

Kathryn made all A's for the 3rd nine weeks of her 3rd grade year.  We are so proud of her!!!  We always make a big deal out of her good grades.  So this time she got to pick dinner...she chose Johnny's Big Burger...she really just wanted a Bun and Cream...she is a smart girl!
Kathryn took an 8 week Art Class...this was the final day showcasing the artwork...she loved it!
Johnny's Big Burger...I have to document that Kaden wanted a grilled cheese, no grill :)
Bun and Cream = Happy Girl!

Candlelight Ball 2017 continued...

A few more pics from the night...

APSU Candlelight Ball 2017

This year's ball was so fun!  This is truly an event we look forward to each year.  This year we decided to go to Nashville and stay Friday night in addition to Saturday night.  Friday night we went with a group of friends to eat at The Palm, and then we went for drinks at The Palm Bar.  We had a blast.  Saturday morning, I spent in until 11...this NEVER happens, but it was wonderful.  The rest of Saturday was spent with friends hanging out before the ball.  Kyle looked very dapper in his new tux and red and white bow tie (I need to add that he tied this himself and did great).  For the first time, I wore all sequins.  We love this event for many reasons, first, it is supporting our alma mater APSU.  Next, it is fun to dress up, enjoy a night of friends, dinner, and dancing.  After the ball, we all went out to continue our fun.  We love APSU and Candlelight Ball, and we are already looking forward to next year's event.

Fresh out of the groomers

We had to board this sweet boy for our Candlelight Ball weekend...I was definitely excited to pick him up!  I just love his sweet face!!!
