Thanksgiving 2012

This Thanksgiving was lots of fun!  We spent time with family and ate yummy food...perfect combo!  We started out the day with lunch at Mimi and Papa's.  Then we headed to Hopkinsville for dinner at Momma Pam's.  By the end of the day, we were beyond stuffed.  Kathryn enjoyed playing with all her cousins (Dakota, Garrett, Maxx, and Evie), and Kaden loved all the extra attention from family.  Our family has so much to be thankful for, and I hope we never lose sight of our many blessings.

16 Weeks and a Check Up

Yesterday Kaden had a well check up.  He is doing great.  He is a healthy, happy baby.  He weighs 17.12 pounds (88th percentile),is 25 inches long (60th percentile), and has a head circumference of 42 cm.  He is still on a great bottle schedule eating 8 ounces at 8 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, and 8 PM.  He goes right to bed after his 8 PM bottle and sleeps until Daddy wakes him for school at 7:30.  He has great neck support and a strong grip.  He is not rolling over quite yet, but I think it won't be long.  He loves when people talk to him.  He quickly recognizes my face and voice as well as his daddy's and big sister's.  He loves to smile and coo.  He is truly a happy and good baby!

Thanksgiving Feast at The Red Barn

I can't believe this was Kathryn's last Thanksgiving at The Red Barn.  Every year, Kyle and I have attended her feast.  This is an opportunity for us to eat lunch with her and visit with her school friends.  We look forward to going each year.  It makes me a little sad to think this was her final Red Barn Thanksgiving celebration.  I know she has to grow up, but the time is flying by way too fast.

Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend was lots of fun!  Friday night we went to dinner with Mimi, Papa, and Uncle Michael to Hananoki.  Kathryn loves the soup, salad, rice, and chicken.  She still hates the "fire" parts, but she is starting the enjoy everything else about the chef.  Saturday, we played at home for a bit, then Kyle and I headed to Nashville to watch the UT/Vandy game.  The Dores won!  First time in 30 years that they beat UT in Nashville.  We had a blast tailgating with friends and watching an exciting game.  BIG THANKS to Mimi and Papa for watching the kiddos overnight!  Sunday, we went to church.  Afterwards, Kathryn and I met Rachel and Emerie at the museum for a playdate.  The girls had a blast playing together.  We ended the evening by decorating the Christmas tree.  It was a perfect weekend!

Kathryn's Soccer Party

Kathryn with Daddy/Coach Kyle

Last night was our end of season soccer celebration.  We all met up at Chick Fil A.  The girls ate dinner together, received their trophies, and then spent time playing.  Kathryn has really loved playing soccer.  She doesn't really understand the game quite yet, but she had a blast hanging with her friends...and that's all that matters!

Pic from The Red Barn

While looking through pictures today, I found this fun one!  Last month, The Red Barn had a day where a petting zoo came.  Kathryn got to pet and feed animals and ride a pony.  I love this pic of my sweet girl.  She looks so big and grown up!

I have to be honest, I am not a big fan of the NBA, however, going to the games is so much fun!  This past Sunday, we went to see the Grizzlies play the Heat.  And, we got to sit courtside...truly, THE BEST SEATS in the house!  We had a great time with great friends!!!  Life is good!
