I love Fall 2000!

This past weekend, my Chi Omega pledge class had a casual 10 year reunion. Friday night, we met at the Blackhorse for dinner and afterwards headed to O'Neals. What a fun night!!!!! Not everyone in our class was able to make it in, but we had a blast with the girls that did come.
Saturday, we went to Spring Eleusinia. It was a nice event, and as always, it was fun seeing the actives and hearing about all their accomplishments.
I had a great weekend! I absolutely loved how nothing had changed about my pledge sisters. And, although we don't talk daily like we did "back in the day," we were able to pick up right where we left off and didn't miss a beat. I laughed so hard as we shared old memories. And, it was fun catching up and making new memories!

Swirlz with the Girlz!

Tonight part of our Bunco girls went to Swirlz. This was my first Swirlz experience, and ha ha, joke was on me. I thought we were going to be given a canvas with a drawing, and then I would just fill in the drawing with color/paint. Nope, that was not the case. We were given a blank canvas. While at times this experience was stressful, I will say that I would go back in a heartbeat. I think when I go back, I will feel more confident and have a better understanding as to what to do. So, if anyone out there wants to go, let me know! Oh, and it is spring break, so I have not worn make up all week...the pics of me above are a little scary.

Kathryn's Favorite Songs...for now

1. B-I-N-G-O
2. The Wheels on the Bus
3. Ring Around the Rosy
4. The Hokie Pokie
5. And, my favorite one that she sings..."Teach Me How to DUCKY"...it is just way too cute!

Kathryn and her memory

Tonight, as Kathryn is coughing, I say, "We might need to go see the doctor this week." She replies, "I don't want to get a shot." I told her that she probably wouldn't have to get a shot. She then says, "Can I still get a band-aid and sticker?" Followed up with, "We see Stephanie too?" My 2 and a half year old remembers everything!

Checks and Credit Cards

The other day Kathryn was randomly talking about checks and credit cards. Sunday, her Daddy gave her an old hotel room key that has now become her own credit card. She loves her "credit card." Last night while saying prayers, she thanked God for her credit card. Lord help us!

Above is a pic taken last week. She fell during Sunday School two Sundays ago and hit her eye on the corner of a bookshelf. This was her eye on Day 4.

Once Upon A Time

Last night, Kathryn went to a CAbi party with me. Kyle had a meeting, so she got to run errands with Mommy. I was given a CAbi catalog, which Kathryn wanted immediately. So, on the way home she was "reading" the catalog...
"Once upon a time, there were shirts, dresses, shirts, and shoes. No, this shirt. No, this shirt. Shirts, shirts, more shirts. The end." My little girl is too funny!

Coded Conversation Failed

Last Thursday evening while Kathryn was intently watching Dora, I told Kyle, "We are going to meet up with Rachel tomorrow at 5:00 at the "C" place." Kathryn turns around and says, "We are going to Chick A Lay with Emerie." Yes, Emerie is Rachel's daughter. So much for talking in code!

Another fun packed weekend!

We had a fun (and exhausting) weekend! Friday night, Kathryn and I met up with Rachel and Em for dinner and play time at Chick Fil A. The girls had so much fun together. Saturday, Kyle and I headed to Nashville for APSU's Candlelight Ball. WOW! What a fun night!!!!! This was probably the most fun one yet. We have gone for several years now, and it just seems like each year gets better and better. Sunday, we spent the day relaxing and recovering. Above are some pics from the ball.

March already?!?!?!

Seriously, it is March! AND, my sweet baby girl turned 2 and a half last month. I really don't know where the time goes. Kathryn has turned into such an independent little girl. She is helping herself dress. She is using the potty pretty consistently. She brushes her own teeth. She picks out her own snacks and tv shows. And, she plays really well on her own when I have other tasks to attend (like fixing dinner, etc.). Her vocabulary is quite extensive, and she is pretty articulate. She speaks in full sentences and generally uses her manners. She is sweet and loving. She will often, just out of the blue, hug Bailey and tell him that she loves him. While it makes me very sad that she is growing up so quickly, I will say that things are so much easier as far as taking care of her. She is just becoming her own little person.

During the upcoming months, we need to switch her over to a big girl bed. She loves her crib and sleeps so well, so I am dreading this process. However, I do know that it is probably past time for us to make the change. I think I have decided on her big girl bedding, but I have not bought anything yet. I am excited about fixing up her room.

Kathryn's latest favorite things include The Fresh Beat Band, shirts with pockets (she gets so excited if the shirt she is wearing has a pocket), Girl Scout cookies especially Samoas (just like Mommy!), her rain boots, her Leapster (she loves to do "shapes"), Frosty the Snowman DVD (yes, we are STILL watching it), Sesame Street book set purchased at the book fair, "Orange Cheese"...also known as Kraft Singles, and rice crispy treats. It is funny how she goes through phases of the things she likes.
