Sunday, December 22nd

If you look through the fireplace...you can see total sweetness!

Today has been another perfect day.  After a wonderful service at church, we spent the rest of the day at home, watching Christmas movies to include my all time favorite The Christmas List.  Kathryn and I made a new recipe...Cracker Candy...it turned out great.  The kids delivered Christmas goodies to our neighbors.  And we spent time snuggling!  I love Christmas...especially this time to slow down and just be with family!

Kathryn playing Harp at Real Life Church

Kathryn played Away in a Manger this morning during both services at Real Life Church.  She was nervous, but she did awesome!  I love that she has the opportunity to play for the glory of God.  Watching her play makes me so incredibly proud.  She is an amazing girl with the brightest future ahead.  I love her so much!!!

Saturday, December 21st

This day...Saturday, Dec 21st...the Saturday before Christmas...our family had NOTHING on the calendar.  It was a Christmas miracle in itself!  I spent the entire day in my Christmas pjs, watched 5 Christmas movies, worked a Christmas puzzle from start to finish, and just had the most relaxing day with my family.  Days like this are good for the soul and much needed.  In our busy lives of working full time, running kids to all their activities, and just all of life's demands...these moments I cherish even more than I can explain.  Today was perfect!

Christmas Card 2019

Due to my eye surgery...I decided to not do family photos this year...my eye is still healing and I am a little self conscience about it.  So, I grabbed my camera...told the kids I just needed ONE good picture of all three of them...I took around 283 pictures...and I got ONE great picture!  I love this picture of them together!!!  It created the perfect card for this Christmas!

I mean...I might be a little obsessed...

This dog...there is just something about him...I really do love all dogs...but Winston...he is really the sweetest.  I can be having a yucky moment, and then just being with him, makes it all go away.  He really is the best!!!

And now...this weekend...

Uncle Michael and Kyle took Kaden to see Jurassic World...Kyle said Kaden loved it!

Kathryn had Annie and Julia stay the night on Thursday night...they stayed up way late but that's okay because Friday is our half day at school and no instruction takes place...just partying all day!
This boy...I love him!
Friday after I got home from work, we kicked off our Christmas break working a Christmas puzzle while watching my all time fav The Christmas List!
Then we headed out to walk the river and see the lights...a yearly tradition
The Bowles joined us...Kaden, Robert, Charlotte, and Kathryn
And today...while blogging, I am in my pjs watching Christmas movies...so far I have watched While You Were Sleeping and now Miracle on 34th Street.  I plan to be right here in this house for the rest of the day.  I might do a little more holiday baking.  But, otherwise, it will be Christmas movies in my Christmas pjs all day long!  After a busy week at school, this is exactly what we all needed!

Weekending: Dec 14th & 15th

Some weekends are perfect...and festive...and busy...and perfect...this was one of those weekends...
Saturday started with Kathryn going to Julia's for a Gingerbread making party, then we headed to Kaden's basketball game (best game of the season...it was so intense I forgot to take pics...we won but just barely!), then we headed to Nashville for Kathryn's Harp Recital, and while in Nashville we decided to go to Zoolumination at the Nashville Zoo.  Zoolumination was AMAZING!!!!  I was so impressed with all the lights...truly awesome!!!  And, then on Sunday, Kathryn and I headed back to Nash with Fran and Chloe for our annual Nutcracker show.  I love this tradition, and Kathryn loves it too!  We had brunch at Capitol Grille and then went to the show.  As always, it was great!  Weekends like this really are so much fun...I love making these sweet memories with the kids.
