Afternoon spent at Downtown Commons
Storm moving in and bringing the temp down...much needed!

Today at Downtown Commons!
As always, glad to be home!  We had the best weekend in Charlotte, but now we are ready to finish up summer break and start the new school year.  Today we had lunch with Kyle...trying to get in all our lunch dates before school starts and we can't.  Then the kids and I went to play at Downtown Commons.  Kaden LOVES to come here!  We took full advantage of the cooler temps as the storm moved in.  Now, I am working hard on my to do list!  And catching up on this blog was on my list...CHECK!

Sporting our new 49ers gear!
Our good friends Will and Emily moved to Charlotte back in the spring, and we have missed them so much!  We decided to fly out this past weekend to celebrate Emily's bday.  She had no clue we were coming, so it was a fun surprise!  Friday afternoon we spent time at the pool and afterwards we had dinner at Capitol Grille.  Saturday we spent the morning at their house and then went to the university to see all things football.  That afternoon and evening, we stayed at the Healys home just hanging out, grilling out, and catching up.  Coach Will is going to do awesome things at Charlotte University.  I am so excited as they take on this new adventure in life.  However, I so miss them being in Clarksville.  More road trips are in our future as we support our fav coach!

Viva Las Vegas!

Right after the 4th, Kyle and I flew out to Vegas for a few nights.  We had friends that met up with us.  We had a blast!  We did all the things: Gambled, Ate all the food, did 2 shows (LeReve and Absyinthe), rode the High Roller, got a table at the Heart of Omnia (a low key club outside at Caesars overlooking the strip), got a Cabana at the Caesars Pool, spent a day at the Caesars Spa, and ate some more.  We love Vegas...there is so much to do!  But at the end of the day...there is no place like HOME with our kiddos and dog!
