Kathryn's End of Year School Work

I have still not had a chance to look through all her work that was sent home on the last day of school, but here are a few things I have gone through so far...
A pic of Kathryn from the 50th day of school
A Mother's Day card for me!
A spelling test...each week she made a 100!
A family portrait by Kathryn
Kathryn's drum
Packing list for when we move...Kaden: night night (his blankie), clothes, PJs, toys...and at the bottom, it says space for dog (I love how she always writes dog because she can't spell Bailey)

Weekend Wrap Up: Memorial Day and our 11th Wedding Anniversary

This past weekend was nice and long!  I firmly believe that every weekend should be a three day weekend!!!  Saturday, Kyle and I took the kids to the zoo.  They had a blast seeing the animals and playing.  Saturday was also our 11th wedding anniversary.  We didn't have any set plans, so that evening, we went to the Castleberry's for Chris's high school graduation cook out.  Sunday after church, we went to the pool.  This was a bit challenging.  Thankfully Kyle was there, so we were able to run a man to man defense.  Monday, we spent the day working in the yard, planting a few new flowers, and just enjoying being at home.  It was a perfect family weekend!
Zoo fun
The best pic I could get of both of them at the zoo

Kathryn Last Week in Kindergarten

This school year has been a blur!  It has been my best year teaching (year #11 is officially in the books), and it has been a wonderful start to Kathryn's school career.  Ms. Hayhurst has been the best teacher we could have possibly asked for.  She has been wonderful to Kathryn, and Kathryn has learned so much.  Kathryn has enjoyed every single day in Kindergarten.  She has made many new friends.  She has grown academically in more ways than I thought possible.  Overall, this year has just been amazing.  Both Kathryn and I were a little emotional over this last day of school.  Kathryn cried because she is going to miss Ms. Hayhurst, and I teared up because my baby girl is growing up so fast.  I am so proud of Kathryn and the person she is becoming.  Here are a few pics from her last week in Kindergarten.

This past weekend we traveled to Athens, GA to see my nephew Dakota graduate from high school.  It was a wonderful weekend!!!  I am so proud of Dakota.  He is a hard working, loving, handsome, and well rounded young man.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for him, because I know it will be great!
