Mr. Handsome AKA Winston

I snapped these sweet pics yesterday!  The lighting was great, and Winston was handsome as always :).  Fall weather is finally here, and as much as I don't like the cold weather, I do love having the fireplace on, yummy soups, and snuggling on the couch with my family (we are currently watching Hocus Pocus).  These are the moments!!!!!

Cousin Maxx turns 9

Cousins!  Aubrey, Kathryn, Maxx, and Kaden

Yesterday we celebrated Maxx's 9th bday!  He had a park party with pizza, cupcakes, and friends.  We love Maxx and was excited to party with him.  Jeff obviously couldn't be there, but we made it the most fun day possible without him.  Maxx had a blast, and that's all that mattered!

My Brother Jeff and his Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

On October 6th, we were one hour out from Orlando for our Fall Break trip when my mom called to say my brother Jeff passed out and was being taken by ambulance to Tennova.  I thought it was heat related since he had been working outside.  Once at Tennova, they did a scan of his head and immediately called Life Flight...he had a subarachnoid Hemorrhage...the exact same thing my mom had almost two years ago.  SUPER SUPER SCARY!!!!!  Jeff's situation is much worse than my mom's.  He had much more bleeding.  He is still in Neuro ICU at Vandy (day 15) and will likely be there for another week or two before going to step down and rehabilitation.  Jeff has had 5 surgeries and countless procedures during these last two weeks.  He has had seizures and a thamalic stroke.  He currently has limited mobility on his right side.  Once the swelling in his head goes down and the fluid is drained (he still has a drain in his head for this), we will know more about his prognosis.  Right now, it's just too early.  My little brother Brandon came in for a week and a half to help out, and my sister Kristin came in for a couple of nights to help out too.  Times like this, having a big family is even more important.  I am praying hard that Jeff has a full recovery like my mom did.  And, I am now a patient with my mom's Neurologist and will get scanned in a week or so to see if there are any concerns with my head, and my siblings will be screened as well.  I know God has big plans for Jeff!  And I know he will be better!

Kaden's Kindergarten Field Trip to the Apple Orchard

Last Friday, my colleague was able to attend the field trip and snapped some pics of Kaden for me!  Kaden had a blast!  They learned all about apples, go to decorate an apple, eat an apple, and drink apple cider.

Happy 39th to me!

On Oct 16th, I turned the big 39!  My last year in my 30's....I will cherish everyday I am on earth...no matter my age!
Kaden's gift to me...some of his very own money!  That boy is so sweet!
Flowers from my dear friend Kailey
My family spoils me all the time...my bday was no exception.  We went to my in laws for dinner and had Chili...it was a perfect chilly night for it.  I got many sweet cards, some cash, tickets to see Phantom, and a new pair of UGG boots!  Happy 39th to me!!!

Kaden's School Work

Once back from Orlando, I cleaned out Kaden's backpack and found these two sweet papers.

October 10th: Day 4: Back at Universal

Our last day here...We went to Universal and IOA and did all our favorite things!

Final Good Bye at our resort The Hard Rock

The sky as we left Orlando and as Hurrican Michael hit land and was traveling our way
We started with a water taxi to Voodoo Donuts, then rode all our favorite rides: Minions, Tonight Show, Fast and Furious, Men in Black, all the Harry Potter, Spider Man, Hulk Coaster, and the list goes on.  We went back to Finegan's for lunch (Daddy's fav).  We saw Beat Builders a final time, and Kaden was chosen as the helper again!  The highlight of his trip for sure!!!!  We had the best time, but I was definitely ready to get home.  As much as I love to travel and do, I really love just being home.
