Weekend Wrap Up

Another wonderful (and BEAUTIFUL) weekend in the books...
Friday night we headed to Fleming's in Nashville to have dinner and celebrate Kailey's bday.  It was a fun, delicious dinner!  We are so blessed to have such great friends in our lives!  Saturday morning, the kids and I went to Hoptown to watch Maxx's soccer game.  It was a beautiful day for soccer and park playing.  We took full advantage.  That afternoon, we played at home and enjoyed a nice family walk (well, the kids rode their bikes).  Sunday, we went to Camden to visit with family.  The kids enjoyed playing and they especially loved seeing and feeding the goats that live down the road.  Sunday afternoon, we attempted to take Kaden to see his first movie at the theater.  It did not go as planned.  About half way through the movie Zootopia, he started having stomach issues.  His stomach was so upset that he was crying and full on sweating.  Needless to say, we only watched half of the movie before heading home.  Oh well, we will try again another time.  Tis' life!

Kathryn donates hair for 2nd time

I know I say this all the time, but I am so proud of Kathryn for so many reasons, and yesterday's hair cut is another to add to the list.  On Sunday, Kathryn said she was ready to cut her hair to donate.  She 100% understands what the hair donation is for, and she is so excited about sending her hair in to help someone who's hair has fallen out.  This is her second donation to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.  She has between 8-9 inches to donate this time.  It has taken a little over 2 years for her hair to grow out.  Again, I am so proud of her, and I love her kind heart!!!

Weekend wrap up

This weekend was just what we needed...play time, rest time, and family time.  Friday night, we headed to APSU to watch the football scrimmage.  Since it was cold outside, we took advantage of sitting in the President's Suite.  Saturday, we slept in, grocery shopped, had lunch at Mimi and Papa's, and had Tara Gant over for dinner to celebrate her bday.  Sunday after church, we went to Momma Hope's to visit with her and the rest of the evening was spent at home...dancing in our pjs!
We are so excited for the upcoming season!  Let's Go Peay!!!
A little dance party action!

Snuggles with Kaden

He told me, "Mommy, you can snuggle me up and keep me forever."  Yes son, I think I will!

Kathryn playing her harp

Kathryn began taking lessons in December.  In four months, she has learned so much.  She enjoys playing, and she adores her teacher Ms. Claire.  Her lesson is every Wednesday from 4-5.  I am proud of her progress in such a short amount of time.  This is the first part of Jesus Loves Me.  She knows the whole song, so I will have to video that and post it soon!

Kathryn...Proud Mom Post

I am so proud of Kathryn for many things, so I am going to brag on her for just a bit...
First, she earned all A's again for this grading period at school.  She is yet to make anything but an A on her report card.  She also reached her Accelerated Reading goal again this period.  And, she was awarded the Principal's Award for this grading period.  She is an amazing child.  In addition to doing so well at school, she plays golf, does gymnastics, and plays the harp.  She is a wonderful and helpful big sister.  She is a friend to anyone.  She has a big love for our Lord.  I know she is going to do phenomenal things in life.  I just can't wait to see what her future holds.
Receiving her all A's certificate
And her AR awards
And finally her Principal Award

Way to go Kathryn!  We are SO PROUD of you!

Atlanta: Day 3

Breakfast at Starbucks followed up with a full day at the Georgia Aquarium with Kiki, Seanbow, and Garrett.  The Aquarium was amazing...the Sea Lion show was great and the Dolphin show was amazing.  We all had a wonderful time and will definitely plan to go back!  After the aquarium, we went to the Olympic Park and got to see part of the Purina Dog Challenge show.  We loved it!  Go figure, it was completely free and one of the things the kids loved best.  I guess that is the way it goes.  None the less, we had a great time watching the dogs do fun tricks.  After that, we had dinner and then headed home.  While I was sad to leave (especially leave my sister and her family), I was excited to get home to Kyle.  We had a great mini vacay, but there is nothing better than being home!

Saturday morning...they were exhausted!
At Starbucks...he still wasn't quite ready to get up
