Rutledge Falls: Waterfall Day

Last Tuesday, we did our first waterfall!  We had so much fun!  The Jenkins and Bowles went with us.  We played in the falls, had a picnic lunch, hiked a little, and ended the day with a dipped cone from Bobbies Dairy Dip in Nashville.  It was a great day!  The kids had a blast, and Kaden is already asking to go back.  We have had an amazing summer so far, and we have loved taking these new adventures!!!

Sunday back to church IN PERSON and a few more beach pics

Kathryn's FIRST tomatoes!!!!!  We came back from Florida with a few ready to pick.  They are DELISH!
The only 4th of July pic I have...when we got back from the beach, Kyle took the kids to the pool while I stayed home and unpacked.  Every 4th the pool has the big slide and the kids didn't want to miss it.  Both kids were exhausted from traveling all day so they didn't stay at the pool for long, but they did get to do the slide several times!

First Sunday back at church IN PERSON since March!  It's crazy to thing it's been that long.  It was so nice seeing everyone in person!!!
Post church lunch on the patio at Miss Lucilles Cafe

Home Sweet Home and Perdido Key Wrap Up

As much as we love to go and do, being home is truly our fav place to be.  We love being in the comforts of our own beds and showers.  And, we love being back home with our dog Winston.  Perdido Key was great!  It was not overly crowded like other surrounding beaches.  I love a more secluded beach.  Kathryn's fav part of the trip was parasailing, and Kaden's was fishing on the pontoon boat (and getting to drive the boat).  Kaden also loved seeing the Blue Angels fly over which he saw happen twice.  Both kids loved souvenir shopping.  Everyone agreed, the very best part was spending time with our extended family.  It was really fun to have everyone together, and I especially loved watching the kids all play together.  Although it can be exhausting at times, these big family trips are so much fun, and I know these are memories that will forever last with Kathryn and Kaden.  I hope to be able to do this someday with Kathryn and Kaden and their families.  And, I hope we continue to do these big trips while my kiddos are still growing up!

Dinner with an amazing view of the bay
Our last day!  We started with breakfast again at The Breakfast Club.  Then spent the day beach and poolside.  We finished up with dinner at The Oyster Bar where we had a beautiful view of the boats on the bay.
