Weekend Wrap Up: Kaden's Trunk or Treat at Barksdale and a Harp Event for Kathryn

A weekend wrap up...I have been so far behind on blogging that I haven't done this in a while....

This weekend was fun!  Friday night we took Kaden to his Trunk or Treat at school.  Afterwards, Kyle and I l met up with some Pikes for a dinner and gathering for APSU Homecoming.  Saturday, I picked up me and Kathryn a Starbucks breakfast and then spent the day cleaning out half of the upstairs.  Kyle took Kaden to basketball practice in Todd County, and then they had lunch at L and R Soda Shop.  Saturday evening Kathryn and I hit up Exit 4 for some shopping.  Kaden spent the afternoon watching football and playing at the house (legos and iPad games).  Sunday after church, we did our usual Publix run and then brunch at Blackhorse.  Kathryn had a harp event at APSU.  She had the chance to show off her talent in front of larger crowd.  Sunday night we snuggled and watch Hocus Pocus...which is exactly what we needed...time together!  The weekends fly by...and I don't want to rush time...but I am really excited for the Christmas season of all the Christmas things!  Bring it on!!!!!   (first pic...a throw back to when Kaden was 3-4 years old)

RHS Track or Treat

Last night RHS hosted their Track or Treat.  I went early with Kathryn to help set up for her photo booth and table.  Kaden tagged along.  After the event began, I walked Kaden around the track.  He loved playing the various games and he scored lots of candy!  And, it was a beautiful evening for the event!!!!!  The last pic is of Kaden and July...that was taken this morning at school...they could wear their costumes for Storybook Character Day.

Winston's Surgery

Winston had a small surgery yesterday to remove two masses...one from his neck and one from his leg.  Luckily, there is no sign of cancer...just cysts.  He is wearing a cone, and he hates it.  I bought him an inflatable one hoping that will be more comfortable.  Poor boy!!!!!

Taylor Swift...in concert...on the big screen...

Seeing Taylor Swift twice in person was fun...so much fun that my girl wanted to see the concert at the theater too.  So, we had a girls day and did just that.  We scored the Taylor Swift popcorn bucket too.  The concert movie was really great.  It was fun singing along with my best girl!!!!  

Pumpkin Patching!

We are creatures of habit...pretty much every year, we go to Boyd's for our pumpkins.  The kids like picking their own off the vine.  Last Sunday after church was the perfect time to go!  The weather was beautiful, and we picked some great pumpkins.  Time is fleeting and I am feeling this deep in my soul.  Before I know it, Kathryn will be gone away to school, and all of these traditions will be different.  I am soaking it all up now and cherishing every single moment!!!!!
