A wonderfully lazy weekend

After fall break traveling and coming back home to an extremely busy week of work/school and something every single evening...this weekend was exactly what we needed.  Friday night was a movie and pizza night...after dinner we piled in our bed to watch Hocus Pocus.  Saturday, we were lazy all.day.long!  I even took a nap which NEVER happens...granted the nap was like for 20 mins, but still, it was a nap.  We were home all day playing, watching football, and relaxing which was perfect because it was cold and rainy.  I started a Whole30 on Saturday, so I did cook.  Sunday after church we got some things done around the house, groceries bought, and errands run.  We were all in bed by 8:15 and ready for Monday morning.

Remote Week 1 in the books...

We had a full week of remote instruction.  It was a pretty good week.  Kathryn enjoyed being home and it was a good change of pace in the building.  I was able to take a 30 minute lunch break each day to eat and then took a quick walk outside.  Below are some pics of my daily walks...the trees are slowly changing and fall is definitely here!

This boy was excited for his package

A killer workout...I am LOVING my 5 AM workouts each day!

Crazy Covid Times

Today's caught up Blog is brought to you by...COVID...

We have a ton of teachers either sick or in quarantine therefore my school is doing remote learning all week.  This made it a little easier to come back to work today...LOL!  I knew it would be quiet and I could get some things done in between checking messages from my students.  I think this will be a good week to catch up on life.  As much as I love to travel and go and do, it certainly makes for no time at home to get things done.  I try to not stress about it.  All the work will be sitting there for me when I get to it.  I will say...on this past trip to SGI...it was the first trip I didn't make beds each day and didn't spend a ton of time cleaning and straightening up around the rental house.  We really had the best week with incredible weather.  It was hard to leave, but I know we will go back so that makes it a little better!

One more SGI pic

Somehow I left this one out...it was one of my favs too with the umbrella pattern in her glasses!

Goodbye SGI and Hello Tallahassee!

We left SGI Saturday morning and headed to FSU to watch the Noles play the UNC Tar Heels.  UNC was ranked #5 and I didn't think we stood a chance.  I am not sure how, but we won the game!  It was Kathryn and Kaden's first game.  It was a great first game for them because there was so much scoring...it was an exciting atmosphere.  After the Noles first score, Kaden announced they scored because of his lucky hat...LOL!  During the game he switched between his two new hats as needed to change up the luck for the game.  Whatever he did, it work because we won!!!!  Before the game we ate too much and shopped too much too.  The kids did great all day, and they also did great during the game.  It was a late game...we left the stadium around 11.  About 15 mins into the car ride to our hotel, both kids were passed out.  They both said they had a great day and would love to go to another game.
