Day 1: Arrival and Epcot

We spent our first day at Epcot.  After getting checked in to our resort (Art of Animation...Little Mermaid Tower...which just opened a couple of weeks before our arrival), we went and spent the day at Epcot.  The first thing we did (as per Kathryn's request) was see Mickey and all his friends.  Afterwards, we had lunch at the Coral Reef.  The afternoon was spent riding rides, seeing more characters, and ending with dinner at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (a Princess Storybook Dining experience).  Kathryn loved everything about this day.  Her favorite Epcot ride was Spaceship Earth (the ride in the iconic "ball").  She also enjoyed Living with the Land and The Seas with Nemo and Friends.  Kyle and I rode Soarin' and we really liked it!  We did the Turtle Talk with Crush show which I thought was cute, but Kathryn didn't seem as impressed.  The highlight of the day for Kathryn was dinner with the princesses.  She LOVED talking with the princesses, getting their autograph, and having her picture made with each one.  Our first day at Disney was perfect!
