Catching Up

It is July 2nd, and I have no clue where the last couple of weeks have gone....I just downloaded some pics and was instantly reminded of how busy we have been.  Kathryn finished up swim lessons.  They went really well.  The first two days, she jumped off the diving board.  The last two days...not so much.  That's okay, I do think she is more confident in the "big pool," and that's what I really wanted.  Here are a couple of pics finishing up her week of swim lessons.
TIRED!!!
Saturday, June 28th, we went to Nashville for Jason Greenfield's wedding.  Sadly, I took no pictures.  However, the wedding was nice, and the reception was tons of fun.  Time was spent catching up with old friends.

Sunday, we were pretty tired (got stuck in traffic on I-24 for over an hour on the way home Saturday night).  So, the day was spent being lazy and relaxing.  That afternoon, we did decide to take Kathryn to see the movie Brave.  She loved eating popcorn and M&Ms (just like her Mommy).  She also liked the movie even though she didn't care for the parts that were loud and a little scary.
Ready for the movie to start
Last Monday, we had a play date with the Callis girls at Monkey Joe's in Rivergate.  The girls had the best time.  We were there for over 6 hours.  It was the perfect set up.  The girls played while Brooke and I caught up on life.  We had lunch there and just truly enjoyed the day together.  Brooke is one of my best friends from college.  Even though we don't talk everyday, when we do get together, it is like we haven't missed a beat.  I love her and her two girls!

She won a ball with her first quarter...I was impressed!

Sliding fun!
Tuesday, June 26th, I had a doctor's appointment, Wednesday, I went to the pool and spent the day with Brittnye, and Thursday, Brittnye, Haven, and I went to Franklin and spent the day shopping and eating in the downtown area.  Even though it was a busy week, I had a blast!  Summer is my time to catch up with friends and life in general, so I enjoy all the dates planned.

Friday, we headed out for Tunica.  Kathryn stayed the weekend with Uncle Michael.  She was super excited about her "Sleep Over," and I was super excited about going to Tunica.  I love our weekend getaways there.  We always eat good, sleep good, and I love to play cards.  As always, we had a blast while there, even though I was 33 weeks pregnant.  We got back Sunday afternoon and spent time playing with Kathryn.  She loves to play games now.  We played Elefun, Cooties, and Hide and Seek.  It was the perfect ending to a fun weekend.

This week is going to be a busy one.  July 4th is Wednesday, and then we fly out early Thursday morning.  We are heading to Virginia for Mike Lewellen's wedding.  I am so excited for Kathryn to fly for the first time.  I think she is going to love it.  I will be 34 weeks pregnant this weekend....I am kind of pushing it flying this late in my pregnancy, but it was a better option than driving for 12+ hours.  Once we are back from Virginia, I am making little to no plans.  I want to spend the rest of summer vacation being as lazy as possible...we will see how that goes!
