Dec 13th: All about Winston

On Dec 13th Winston fell pretty sick...it all happened quickly.  His breathing was very labored.  I took him to our local vet, and after an x-ray, we were sent to Nashville Veterinary Specialists.  After a million tests and quite a bit of money, it was determined Winston needed a Chylothorax surgery....which is evidently a pretty rare thing.  UGA was determined the best place to take him.  So that is what we did.  On January 3rd, he had his surgery.  We are a week post surgery.  He seems to be healing pretty well.  He is definitely not himself, but he is getting there.  In the upcoming weeks, we will know if the surgery was successful or not...fingers crossed!!!!!
