Back to UGA to pick up Winston

This Momma is READY to see her dog!!!

Last Sunday, I headed back to Athens.  Winston was being discharged on Monday, so I went up the day before so I wouldn't have to make the trip all in one day.  Luckily, I have been able to stay with my sister which has been an added bonus to these trips!!!  Monday at 1:00, Winston was discharged.  I am so thankful for UGA, Dr. Dickerson, Kendra Simons, and the entire UGA Vet Medical Staff for taking such amazing care of Winston.  He was definitely excited to see me and to head home.  He had two large incisions (one around 7 inches long and the other around 14 inches long).  The kids were so excited to see him, and I think Winston was just glad to be home.  Since being home, he has spent a lot of time resting which is exactly what he needs to do.  He will wear his red compression shirt until his stitches are removed on Friday.  When his stitches are removed, he should be cleared to resume regular activity as long as he feels like it.  I know he is sore.  He is on pain medication to help with that.  We are giving him lots of love which is truly the best medicine!
