A good run of bad luck

Sometimes things just happen, and I always try to look at the bright side versus focusing on the negative.  Since September, Kyle and I have had THREE car incidents.  UGH!  In September, we were on our way to Nashville to have dinner with friends, and while driving down I-24, a SUV in front of me ran over a tire tread and "spit" it up on our car.  The damage was quite extensive.  The week before Thanksgiving, I was involved in a fender bender (my first) coming off of the ramp to get on Wilma Rudolph.  The car in front of me got ready to get off the ramp, then she had to slam on her brakes because of a car switching lanes, in the midst I prepared to go and was looking back a final time to make sure traffic was clear, and bam, I hit her.  My car suffered no damage, but her van's back bumper did have a little damage.  Last night, Kyle was on his way home from a United Way meeting, and while traveling on the connector, he was basically t-boned by a deer.  He was hit on the driver side by the front tire, and he couldn't get out of the driver door (he had to climb out through the passenger side).  INSANE!!!  Since bad things happen in groups of three, we are hoping this is the last of the bad luck.  We are very fortunate that in all three incidents that no one was hurt.  We are very lucky!
The damage done by the deer = $6,600

  1. Mary I too hope that the deer with a death wish is the last of it.
