This was an awesome day! We rented a car (Ford Expedition) in Vegas and hit the road! First stop...Hoover Dam. It was amazing!!! Knowing that so many people came together to build something so magnificent...it was just cool to see it in person! We did a power plant tour and then toured the outside. Afterwards we drove to Boulder City for lunch and ice cream. After that, we headed to Under Canvas Grand Canyon and stopped by Lake Mead on the way. Our Under Canvas experience was the SO MUCH FUN!!! I have been wanting to stay at one of these, and it totally exceed my expectations! This is about the closest to camping you will find me. I was a little concerned the kids might not like the smaller tent and not being in the same tent with us, but they never complained, and I think they actually slept really well. We took full advantage of everything Under Canvas offered...games, corn hole, drinks, food, live music, smores, and most of all...enjoying being together and soaking in all of God's beauty!
