A Day in the Luther Home School Life due to COVID 19

I bet I have said it a million times...I LOVE being home!!!!!  The kids are great, and they are loving being home too.  Here is a snapshot of what our days look like...

Free Time until 9 or 9:30 (they usually are on iPads during this time.  Kaden generally wakes around 7 and Kathryn around 7:30
9:30: Rooms done (meaning blinds are opened, lamps turned on, beds made, and room straightened), put on clothes, eat breakfast, and brush teeth
10:00: Devotional, Math, Reading (Kaden reads a book to me, I read a book to him, and Kathryn reads on her own), Math (Kaden works one on one with me and Kathryn works in ixl online), English (Kaden works one on one with me and Kathryn works in Khan Academy online), Kathryn practices harp, Kaden practices basketball, PE with Joe on You Tube (a 30 minute workout), and art time or letter writing.
12:00: Lunch
12:30: work on sign language (I am teaching them the alphabet right now), play a game together (today was the Harry Potter trouble game), and do a house chore (this varies everyday).
2:00: Free time again and snack if hungry

Not everyday is perfect, but we are doing what we think is right for our family.  I know they are not receiving the most rigorous work, but I do feel they are learning so much more beyond the academics.  We spend a lot of time cooking together, cleaning together, watching movies, playing games, playing outside, and just being together.  This has been the sweetest time for us!!!
Clothing is optional at the Luther Home School

I won one game today and Kathryn won the other...Kaden will pick out the game tomorrow...he's calling for UNO!
