This past weekend was another fun one! Friday night, Kathryn and Daddy caught lightening bugs! Kathryn was so excited, and seeing this happen, definitely brought back some wonderful memories from my childhood. I always LOVED to catch lightening bugs!!! And, just as I suspected, Kathryn loved it too. She caught six (with the help of her daddy). At first she wanted to sleep with them in her room, but then she decided against it. After she went to bed, I released the bugs (I knew they would die overnight, and I felt sorry for them), and in exchange, I found a snail. So when Kathryn woke up Saturday morning, she had a snail, and she was super happy about that! After playing with the snail, we released it so it wouldn't die (we are big hearted!). Saturday morning, we had lots of playtime at home. During Kaden's nap, Kathryn and I went to the pool, and Saturday night, Kyle and I went to Flying High. As a previous Flying High chair, this event holds a special place in my heart. I love Flying High. This year was a Masquerade theme. We enjoyed a night out with friends all while supporting a good cause. Sunday, we finished up the weekend by taking the kids to the pool. We have really enjoyed our pool time this summer. Kathryn loves to go and play with friends, and Kaden enjoys going too.
