Sandestin Family Vacay 2014

This past week, we took a family trip to Sandestin, FL.  It was a great week...perfect weather, wonderful food, and lots of fun making it a memorable week.  I took way too many pics (in true Mary fashion), so I am going to do an individual post for each day we were there.  We would DEFINITELY go back to Sandestin and stay at Westwinds.  It was a great condo with an amazing view of the gulf.  A few take aways for this particular trip...

1. On the way down, definitely drive half of the way the night before and the rest of the way on your check in day.  This way, the kids are not cranky, and you don't spend your first couple of days trying to recoup from the drive.  And, get to your resort area early and go ahead and get all your grocery shopping done so you have that out of the way.

2. Once at the resort, be sure to check the ground level for a luggage cart if you don't find one in the lobby.

3. Towards the end of your trip, snag a luggage cart a day before you leave that way you know you have one once you are ready to pack up.

4. Plan for dinner early each night.  We were at restaurants by 5 most evenings and had little to no wait most nights.

5. On the day you leave, try to get on the road by 9 AM.  I think we could have saved lots of time trying to leave town had we been on the road earlier.  We left (10:30) when most everyone else was trying to leave too.

Stay tuned for picture overload!
