I have been a blogging slacker for the past few weeks! Honestly, I have been super busy between home and work and too tired at night to even think about blogging. I get to work around 6:30 AM, and now that we have started intramurals back to 5 days a week, most days I am at work until 5ish. None the less, the Luther family has had an eventful couple of weeks.
The weekend of March 16th, Kyle and I headed to Tunica to spend the weekend. We went with family and friends. We had a great weekend. We ate lots of delicious food and played lots of cards. We also enjoyed watching the NCAA basketball tournament while there. I LOVE our weekend get aways to Tunica. I sleep so well while we are there. And, Jack Binion's is one of my favorites places to eat, and for this preggo girl, the food tasted even better this trip.
The following week, I was slammed at school. We held our 8th grade IEP meetings for our students going to Rossview High. This is always bittersweet. I am excited for my students going to high school, but I will miss so many of these kiddos as I have had many of them in class for three years now. I love seeing how my students grow during their middle school years, and it makes me sad all at the same time. Time is so precious and truly goes by way too fast.
On March 20th, we headed to Hoptown after school to spend the evening at my mom's. My sister in law Shannon and niece Evie were in town from Utah, so we wanted to see them. Kathryn was so excited to see Evie. Seeing Kathryn interact with Evie confirmed that Kathryn is going to be a great big sister!
The weekend of March 24th, team Luther stayed home sweet home! Time was spent playing, watching TV and vegging out, and a little bit of time was spent cleaning out. That Sunday, Phyllis and I headed to Greenhills and spent some time shopping. I got a ton of super cute maternity clothes, and that made my day!
Spring Break was perfect. I spent the first day cleaning out the entire house. I majorly purged. Tuesday, I went to Nashville with Haven. We went to the Container Store, and then we had lunch at the Puffy Muffin...YUM! Wednesday was my catch up day. I ran several errands and packed for our weekend trip. And, Thursday morning my mom, Kathryn, and I left to spend the weekend in Athens with my sister and her family.
Kathryn did pretty well traveling to Athens. We watched the movie Home Alone four times during our car ride down. We stopped in Calhoun and did some outlet shopping which is always fun. While in Athens, we went pretty much nonstop. Friday we ran errands, shopped, got pedicures, and shopped some more. Saturday was Garrett's birthday party. We all had a blast, but Kathryn had the best time. Saturday afternoon, we shopped some more and ended the evening by watching the UK game. Sunday morning, we were all beyond tired. We slept in a little, and then we got on the road and headed back home. Kathryn was quite tired and spent most of the trip home asleep. Mom and I got to spend time talking. I always enjoy our conversations.
This week, once again, we are going full speed ahead. I am preparing IEPs for my 8th graders that are being rezoned to Kenwood and will have those meetings tomorrow. Monday after school, Kathryn and I had a picnic and play date with Rachel and Emerie. Last night we went to have dinner with Mimi and Uncle Jay, and tonight I have bunco.
That pretty much sums up our last couple of weeks. I have tons of pictures to share, and I will post those soon! Happy Wednesday everyone!!!
