This was the first Christmas ever that it was just the four of us...and while we missed family being there...it was still an amazing day. With the snow on the roads...it made a day just for us. Kaden was the first up, and we woke Kathryn up. Both kids got exactly what they wanted...Kathryn: T Swift concert tickets and an iPad and Kaden: Madden Football Game, Pokemon cards, and an iPad. They both got so much more...to include a one night getaway to Memphis to see the Duck Parade at Peaybodys, a Grizzlies game (their first NBA game), and Graceland. After all the gifts were opened, we had a great breakfast together. Once slightly cleaned up, Kathryn and I watched a Hallmark Christmas movie while the boys played the football game on the xBox. That evening we had our traditional lasagna dinner. We were all exhausted and spent the night watching Christmas movies before going to bed. I will have to say, I loved the simplicity of our day....I loved it being just us!
