Friday Night Fun...RHS vs CHS football game |
Labor Day Weekend: We packed in a WHOLE lot within a short amount of time...First, we started that Friday night taking the kids to the Rossview versus Clarksville high school football game. Then Saturday morning, we were up and on the road by 6 AM headed to the airport. We were in New Orleans by lunch. We spent Saturday eating lots of good food, listening to musicians on the street, sight seeing and shopping in the French Quarter, riding on the trolley, and touring the World War II Museum. Sunday, we grabbed breakfast from the famous Cafe Du Monde, went to the Aquarium (Kaden's fav was the Albino Alligator), did a double decker bus tour, and ended the day at the FSU versus LSU football game. Monday morning after brunch at Mother's, we were back on the plane and headed home. In addition to it being a long weekend which always draws extra visitors to the French Quarter, there were around 70,000 there for the game, and it was also Southern Decadence...it was an interesting crowd for sure! We were exhausted, but we were excited to do some much while in New Orleans...everyone had a blast!!!!!
