My Brother Jeff and his Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

On October 6th, we were one hour out from Orlando for our Fall Break trip when my mom called to say my brother Jeff passed out and was being taken by ambulance to Tennova.  I thought it was heat related since he had been working outside.  Once at Tennova, they did a scan of his head and immediately called Life Flight...he had a subarachnoid Hemorrhage...the exact same thing my mom had almost two years ago.  SUPER SUPER SCARY!!!!!  Jeff's situation is much worse than my mom's.  He had much more bleeding.  He is still in Neuro ICU at Vandy (day 15) and will likely be there for another week or two before going to step down and rehabilitation.  Jeff has had 5 surgeries and countless procedures during these last two weeks.  He has had seizures and a thamalic stroke.  He currently has limited mobility on his right side.  Once the swelling in his head goes down and the fluid is drained (he still has a drain in his head for this), we will know more about his prognosis.  Right now, it's just too early.  My little brother Brandon came in for a week and a half to help out, and my sister Kristin came in for a couple of nights to help out too.  Times like this, having a big family is even more important.  I am praying hard that Jeff has a full recovery like my mom did.  And, I am now a patient with my mom's Neurologist and will get scanned in a week or so to see if there are any concerns with my head, and my siblings will be screened as well.  I know God has big plans for Jeff!  And I know he will be better!
