Birthday partying SUCCESS! I LOVE that Kathryn and Kaden want a joint party AND want a pool party. They are creature of habits (wonder who that get that from). Every year, they want pizza and fruit. Every year, Kathryn wants a Heath Bar Cookie Cake with Orange and Pink icing, and Kaden wants Vanilla and Chocolate Cupcakes with Blue and Yellow icing (some solid blue, some solid yellow, and some swirl...truly his request word for word!). This year we moved the time to 6 in hopes it would not be so hot...previous years we have done 11-1. And, 6-8 was the perfect time. The weather was amazing. No sunscreen was needed, the kids played, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The adults hung out poolside and were not sweating. It was the best party! Kathryn celebrated turning 9, and Kaden celebrated turning 5. We had a few of our closest family members and friends there, and we all had a blast!
