Weekend Wrap Up: Rodeo, Golf, and more

This weekend was a busy and fun one!  Friday night, we went to the annual Kiwanis Rodeo.  We had a blast!  We got there early and stayed late.  Kaden loved climbing on the display tractors, and Kathryn loved jumping in the bounce house.  They were both so good all night.  During the rodeo events, Kathryn sat with the Binkleys, and Kaden sat in my lap watching everything so intently.  He loved the rodeo clown as well as the shoe race.  It was a late but fun night!

Saturday, Kathryn went to a bday party for a school friend.  I did a little bit of shopping for Winston.  Then, she and I spent the evening at the golf course.  Kathryn golfed in her first scramble and did great.  The best part, she had a blast!  Her partner was a Richview 6th grader named Tyler.  He was super helpful and kind to Kathryn.  She walked and played all 9 holes, which totally surprised me (they used a couple of her balls AND she made a putt!).  And, she left the course asking when she could play again.  I do believe she is going to love this sport!

Sunday, we slept in since everyone was so tired from two big nights.  Then Kathryn and I spent the day with Mimi shopping in Nashville while Kaden hung out with Papa.  Mimi treated Kathryn and Kaden to tons of goodies.  We are certainly lucky to have such a generous Mimi!!!  Once home from Nashville, I spent a couple of hours getting the house in order.  We had such a busy week that things were just crazy in the house, and being a little on the OCD side, I needed things organized before the work week began.  So it is Monday, there are two weeks away from school being out for the summer.  LIFE IS GOOD!!!
