Winston at 10 and a half weeks old

He is growing by leaps and bounds...I initially thought he would be around 40-50 pounds, but now I am thinking more along the lines of 60 pounds...I will look on the bright side and say...the more of him to love on!

Kathryn's 1st Harp Recital

Kathryn had her first harp recital today. She did awesome, and we were all so proud! She played Jesus Loves Me and Yankee Doodle. She played both pieces perfectly. Kathryn also had the opportunity to listen to others play their harps, and she really enjoyed that. It was a wonderful recital and a fun way to show everyone what all she has learned in her first 6 months of playing. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Claire as Kathryn's teacher. She is a great role model for Kathryn in so many ways. I am already looking forward to her next recital and watching her develop her playing skills!

Happy 13th Anniversary to Us!

On May 24th, Kyle and I celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe it has already been 13 years...time really does fly when you're having fun (and working full time with two kids). Everyday is an adventure, and there is no else that I would want by my side as we go through this thing called life. I am not sure what the recipe is for a successful marriage, but I do know that it begins with Christ as the foundation. I thank God for placing Kyle in my life. We may not have it all together, but together we truly have it all. Here's to us! I love you Kyle!

Hello Summer!

This past Saturday the pool opened, and we were the first ones to walk through the gate! To say we were ready for this day was an understatement. The kids LOVE the pool. We spent several hours swimming and having a blast. We love Summer!!!

Let the summer fun begin!

Friday was my last official work day of the school year, and I knew exactly how I wanted to celebrate...surprising Kathryn with allowing her BFF Audra Grace to come over to stay the night. Kathryn was beyond excited. We began with a little park playing, had dinner at the Liberty Park Grill, then went to the park for more play time, and ended the night watching Fuller House. Saturday morning, the girls and I took Winston to breakfast and played some more. It was the perfect start to Summer Break!

Kathryn: Awards Day at ROES

I know I say this all the time...BUT...I am so proud of Kathryn for so many reasons. Today at school she received a couple of awards. First, all A's certificate (she has never made a B on a report card) as well as a Reading Award for meeting her Accelerated Reading goal. Ms. Parker gave awards in her classroom, and Kathryn was given the Hershey Kisses Award. Ms. Parker said Kathryn was so sweet, always willing and ready to help anyone in the class, and overall a very special girl. I couldn't agree more! Kathryn is truly a special girl, and I know she is going to do wonderful things during her lifetime. I LOVE YOU KHL!!!

Winston: 9 Weeks Old

He is full of life...and although he drives me crazy at times, I really do love him.

Kathryn: Golfing

This past weekend Kathryn played in her 2nd scramble. She had so much fun. She was partnered up with another girl a little older than Kathryn. They used 12 of her balls for this scramble, and Kathryn was so excited about that! They played a total of 6 holes. We had a bday celebration to get to, so we couldn't stay as long this time. Our opponents this week: Chloe Jenkins and Izzy Heggie. Kathryn and Chloe have been friends since birth, so it was a fun, friendly competition. I am so proud of Kathryn, and I hope her love for this sport continues to grow!

Kaden...

I went to see why the bedroom door was closed...opened the door to find Kaden stuck in Winston's cage. Kaden said, "I was playing and now I am stuck." All I could do was laugh...after taking a pic of course!

Winston: Saturday Morning Playtime

W LOVES to be outside. He loves to play with sticks, lay in the dirt, and chew on the trees. And even though he drives me crazy at times, how could I not totally love that sweet face?!?!?

Winston: 9 weeks old

Winston was 9 weeks old last Friday. After playing with his brother Dak, he went to the doc to get shots. He weighs 14.4 pounds (he's gonna be a big boy!). He is so sweet and loving, but he is all puppy and loves to nip and is wild at times!

My coworker Duane Padgett has Winston's brother Dak. Last Friday, we got the pups together for a play date. This was the first time they had been back together since we got them 3 weeks ago. I am not sure if they recognized each other or not (I like to think they did), but they did have a blast playing and rough housing with each other.

Friday evenings at our house looks like this...He does always ask for permission to pee outside. But this time after he finished peeing, he asked if he could poop next. This boy...Gotta love him!!!

Kathryn: ROES Field Day 2016

Last Thursday Kathryn had Field Day. This is definitely one of her favorite days of the school year. She enjoys playing all the fun games (water games are her fav). She is so encouraging of her teammates during the events and has a friendly competitive spirit.
