Lots going on...

We have had tons going on, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  First, we finished up our Christmas break with a play date with the Callis girls.  I LOVE our relationship with Brooke and her family.  Kathryn has so much fun playing with Faith and Mary Brynlee, and I love seeing and catching up with Brooke.  On Thursday, Jan 2nd, we met up with them for play time at Monkey Joe's and ended up with lunch at Chick Fil A.
On the way to Monkey Joe's loving the snow!!!

That Friday night, Kathryn went to stay the night at my mom's, and Kyle and I stayed home and enjoyed our night in with Kaden.  That Sunday, Kyle and I along with Jay went to California for the BCS National Championship game (FSU versus Auburn).  The whole experience was amazing and truly a once in a lifetime event.  What are the odds we will get to see the Noles play again for the National Title AND win?!?!  The game was a real nail biter, seriously, one of the best games in the history of football.  And we were there to see it live.  The game ended with a Noles victory which made it the perfect trip.  While in LA, we ate at a In and Out Burger (Kyle's request, and it was YUMMY!), went to the Lakes game, strolled Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills, went to see the signature Hollywood sign, and wen to the Rose Bowl for the game.  It was jammed packed tons of fun.  I LOVED California.  The weather was absolutely perfect, the scenery was awesome, and I just loved everything about the area.  Our only regret was not going down a day or two sooner so we could have seen more.  I think we will just have to plan another trip back!

Amazing game and trip to California
And once we were back to reality, we had SNOW DAYS!  So, I had that Wednesday off too.  Kathryn and I picked up her friend Audra Grace, and we went to the Pottery Room and then had lunch at Chick Fil A.

Love watching her concentrate
And this past weekend was another busy one...Saturday, Kathryn and I went to my Sunday School's class Mother Daughter brunch.  Then Kathryn went to Holden's 5th bday party while Kyle and I went to the Kentucky Vandy basketball game in Nashville.  Sunday, we all went to church and ended the day at a bday celebration for Eric and Amanda Huneycutt's children (Broc turned 3 and Abby turned 1).  It has been a whirlwind week and a half, that's for sure.  Life is good!!!
