Fall Break Week

Last week was fall break, and I was ready for some extra sleep.  I get up every morning at 5 AM, so I cherish the mornings where I can sleep until 6 or 7.  We had a great fall break.  It was filled with family time, cleaning out, friends, and being lazy.  To start out the break, Kathryn and I had a play date with the Callis girls.  We had breakfast at Chick Fil A, then went to the Pottery Room to paint, and ended the date at Chuck E. Cheese.  The girls had a blast, and Brooke and I enjoyed our time together catching up on life.  Brooke is my best friend from college, and even though we don't see each other as much as I would like, when we are together it is if we have never missed a beat.  I love Brooke and her family!

Sweet Friends!
Sunday, we attempted to go to church.  Kaden was still a little under the weather (he had croup), so we only went to service.  After church, we went to Mimi and Papa's to hang out before lunch.  Kaden LOVED playing outside with a broom.  It is funny the things kids love.

That night we went to Hananoki for dinner, and this was Kathryn's wardrobe choice...
And she also had to have her toys
Monday, we ran some errands all together and ended up Kids N Play.  The kids had so much fun playing there together.
Kaden in the baby area...he didn't stay there for long...he wanted the big kids section
Kaden and Kathryn LOVED this room...they both liked brushing and fixing hair
Kaden's favorite was going down the slide with Kathryn...he did not like going down alone

Tuesday, I spent the day at home cleaning out (one of my favorite things to do), and Phyllis and I went and got our nails done (another favorite thing to do).  Kathryn went to the zoo with her buddy Audra Grace Binkley for Audra Grace's birthday.  Kathryn had so much fun at the zoo with her friend.

Wednesday was my 34th birthday.  The day was spent at home being super lazy.  Well, I did finish cleaning out the house, but the rest of the day, we were lazy.  One of my closest friends Stephanie came by and brought me a birthday treat (a red scarf and a chocolate cake...she knows me well), and she ended up taking Kathryn to her house to play with Holden.

Thursday we ended up taking Kaden back to the doctor, so we pretty much spent the day at home playing.

Friday, Kyle and I along with Phyllis, Dave, and Jay headed to Tunica for the weekend.  This is always one of my favorite weekend get aways.  We always eat delicious food, sleep well, and have a blast playing cards.  And, it is just fun getting away from all responsibilities.

We had an awesome Fall Break!
