Weekend Wrap Up...3 Day Style

Team Luther had a good weekend.  Friday night was spent at the Luthers.  We took them dinner and all ate together.  Saturday morning, we were up and at 'em early.  We met Brooke, Faith, and Mary Brynlee at 9 AM at Kids N Play.  The girls had a blast playing while Brooke and I spent time catching up.  Brooke is one of my best friends.  We met in college during Rush Week.  We were both Special Education Majors, both pledged Chi Omega, and in general, we had a ton in common.  We quickly became super close friends (all the way down to wearing the same Chi Omega shirt several times a week and not remotely planning to match).  I love that Brooke and I can go weeks without talking, but when we are together, it is like we have not missed a beat.  I love her and her girls (and Stephen too).  They are truly like family to me!  Anyways, after Kids N Play, we had lunch at Chick Fil A, and the girls played some more.  While on our playdate, Kyle had to take Kaden back to the doctor (3rd time in 3 weeks).  The doctor put him on a second round of antibiotics.  Saturday night was an APSU game and the Red Coat Society Induction.  Charles Hand (JR's dad) was being inducted.  So, Kyle and I went to the reception to hang with Kailey and JR.  Then Kyle and I went to Blackhorse and had dinner.  It was really nice being alone with Kyle on a dinner date (seems like these times are few and far between lately).  After dinner, we went to the APSU game.  For most of the game, we sat with JR and Kailey.  I will have to say, it was the most fun I have had at an APSU bball game this year.  Kailey and I laughed til I almost cried.  Good Times!!!!!  After the game, we went to pick up the kiddos from the Luthers (since Kaden was sick, we opted to not take him to the game, and since Kaden wasn't going, Kathryn didn't want to go...she was dead set on staying with her brother...truly sweet!).  Sunday, we decided to stay home from church (Kaden was still not feeling well).  We spent the day at home being lazy!  Truly, these days are the best.  Monday was another "stay at home day."  MLK Day fell on this Monday, so Kyle was off too.  I took Kaden back to the doctor for a follow up from his Saturday appointment (he has been diagnosed with Bronchiolitis).  Again, the rest of the day was spent at home and being lazy.  Kaden has been pretty sick.  We are now having to do breathing treatments every two hours.  This has been quite a task.  But, I am ready for him to be better, so I am diligent with his treatments.  This three day weekend was a perfect mix of family time, time with friends, and time with just me and Kyle.  Blessed indeed!!!
