Mid November: Christmas Village, Basketball Practice, Starbucks, Kathryn's Church Retreat, Church, and More...

I rarely get to take Kathryn to school...so when I do...we definitely get Starbucks first...because it is a special time!  Kaden has been busy putting in work with his new basketball team...2 hour practices...and he is doing awesome!  I had my annual Christmas Village trip with my girls...as always we had a blast!  Kathryn went to KY with our youth group on a retreat...it was a special time of spiritual growth...I am so proud of her following Jesus so closely!!!  There is a throwback pic of Kaden and Winston...be still my heart!  Winston...rotten as ever.  And the last pic is of Kaden and Kyle at church this past Sunday...so so sweet!!!!!

SANTA!!!!!! I know him!!!!

This past Saturday, we went to see Santa!  Buddy the Elf made an appearance this year.  I initially didn't plan to do these pics this year...but Kathryn really wanted to...so we did!  The kids actually really love this tradition, and I can't lie, it really warms my heart!  Afterwards, we hit up the best Target in Nash...with the kids in their pjs...and all the fellow shoppers loved it.  After lunch we headed home to watch the FSU game together...and wearing the pjs on was a must...so their FSU jerseys just went over their pjs.  I love Kathryn and Kaden's festive spirit!  They just make life so much sweeter!!!!!

Halloween

This year Halloween was COLD!  It was the first time we have taken the car going door to door.  I did get out and walked with Kaden some, but it was freezing!  Kaden loaded up on candy this year.  He loved walking to all the doors.  His dino costume was a hit for sure.  We didn't stay out long due to the weather.  When we got home, we snuggled and watched a NBA game...Kaden's choice.  Kathryn and her friends dressed as Snow Bunnies.  They went to Nashville to a haunted house.  Kathryn said it was super scary.  Then they all stayed overnight at Julia's house.  She had a great time!  Events like this seem so different when we are not all together.  I know it is a part of the kids growing up...but it definitely hits hard at these times.
