Kaden was asked to help create some content for a dental office to promote wearing mouth guards while playing football.  Kaden was so excited to participate.  He made two video clips and he did some still photos too.  Here are just a few pics from my phone.

First Day of School for Kathryn and Kaden

And just like that, we are back to school!  Kaden is starting 5th grade at Barksdale Elementary.  He is so excited to have Dr. Fambrough again, and he also has Mr. Miller which is the teacher he really wanted to have this year!  Kathryn is starting 10th grade at Rossview High.  She is taking a ton of honors courses and her first AP course.  I know they are both going to have amazing years!

Happy 11th Birthday Kaden

I cannot believe my baby is 11.  Kaden, you are the one that keeps us laughing...and we wouldn't want it any other way.  You are my basketball loving, football loving, lego playing, coin collecting, basketball card collecting, and Roblox playing boy.  You love so big!  You are quick witted.  You are smart...sometimes too smart.  You are so snuggly!  You are kind and passionate.  You are the very best boy I know, and I am thankful God chose me to be your momma.  Never change...always be you...always put God first...and everything else will fall into place.  I know you are going to do big things, and I can't wait to cheer you on every step of the way!!!

On your special day, after church you wanted to go play glow in the dark mini golf, so that is what we did!  Celebrating you is easy because we love you so much!!!!!

Wrapping up Summer Break

Summer break flew right by!  We spent time traveling, going to the pool, being home watching TV and playing games, reading, relaxing, cooking, and just being together.  Summer is truly the best!

Kathryn's Harp Recital: July 31st

Kathryn has a new harp, and it has renewed her love for playing!  She no longer has to be reminded to practice, and she is seeking out opportunities to play for others.  I have loved watching her grow in her talent over the years.  At her summer recital, she played Nocturn and Wildest Dreams.  She did awesome on both pieces.  She also played a couple of Ensemble pieces with all the girls.  It was so cool to see them all playing together!  Her teacher Ms. Claire is so wonderful, and we are blessed to have her as a role model and friend for Kathryn.    

Kaden's 11th Bday Party

For his 11th birthday, Kaden wanted to celebrate with his friends at the trampoline park Sky Zone.  He requested a private time for just his friends on the trampoline basketball court.  They all had so much fun jumping and playing.  I love that they are all still so silly and just all boy!  Kaden picked out his cake...a chocolate chip cookie cake and he even picked out the design on the cake.  He loved spending several hours with some of his closest friends!
