Kathryn's 1st Day of 2nd Grade

I cannot believe my little girl is in 2nd grade.  I really don't know where the time goes!  None the less, we love Rossview Elementary.  And, we know Kathryn will have a wonderful year with Ms. Parker as her teacher.  Ms. Parker is an amazing teacher, and I can't wait to see how much Kathryn grows academically this year.  Kathryn has several friends in her class to include Annie Rudolph. So, she did not have any 1st day of school jitters.  Instead, she was happy and excited to be heading back to school.  Here are a few pics from her first day of second grade (yes, I take way too many pictures, but I seriously cannot help it!)...

Watching the balloons float away

On Saturday, August 1st, we celebrated Kathryn and Kaden's birthdays with a joint pool party.  They both love the pool, and Kathryn asked if they could have their parties together again.  So, that's exactly what we did.  A low key, everyone have fun and swim, party celebrating their 3rd and 7th bdays.  They wanted pizza and cheetos, so that is what we served along with fruit.  Kathryn asked for a cookie cake with orange and pink icing, and Kaden asked for yellow cupcakes.  Instead of doing a theme, I decided to do what the kids wanted.  Everyone had a blast especially Kathryn and Kaden, and that's what it is all about!!!
