A little bit of lately...

In true Luther fashion, we have been staying busy! The biggest news we have to share is that....we are MOVING!!! After months of debating, offering, counter offering, etc, we finally came to a final offer on a home, and we will move next week! We all have mixed emotions...we love our home...we brought both kids home to our Southpoint Dr house, we have two amazing neighbors in Roger and Jerome, and we are creatures of habit and like our home. On the flip side, we are SOOOOO excited for a bigger yard and more space in the house. Our initial plans were to build. We have land (about 6 acres in the country on 41-A) and a house plan. However, once meeting with our contractor, we determined building would take more money and while we could build, we would have to make sacrifices in other areas. This was something we just didn't want to do. So, we have found a wonderful home, in town on Simpson Drive. It sits on almost 3 acres, and we love the house! Packing has been a little more of a task than I anticipated. I love to clean out and organize, so it has been a fun process, but we have so much to pack. I didn't realize how much we had until the packing process began. We close on the home Monday, March 30th, and we will officially be moved in by the end of next week. Exciting times ahead for our family as we make this move!!!

Kathryn's Baptism

Last Sunday will forever be a special day. Kyle and I were beyond proud of Kathryn for making her profession of faith public by being baptized. Kathryn has a true love for God. I know God has big plans for her, and I can't wait to see what her future holds.

Such a perfect morning! After service and Sunday School, we all went to the Luthers for a lunch celebration complete with an ice cream cake. Kathryn received two very special gifts...a cross necklace from Mimi and Papa and a charm bracelet with a Bible charm from Momma Pam. We are so blessed!!!

More Snow Days: March 5th and 6th

We have had a TON of snow this winter...right before Spring Break, we got another wave of the white powder. This time it was around 6 inches which is a lot for our part of Tennessee. None the less, we enjoyed a couple of extra days at home which was a great start to Spring Break.

Spring Break 2015

This year, the kids and I ventured to Chattanooga for a few nights with Kiki and Garrett. We had an absolute BLAST!!! We went to the Creative Kids Museum, the TN Aquarium, the zoo, and spent lots of time in the hotel playing and swimming. We ate way too much food, and we had too much fun. It really was the perfect getaway!

Candlelight Ball 2015

This year's event will always hold a special place in my heart since I was the chair. I love Candlelight Ball, and I love APSU. So it really has been the perfect committee for me to be a part of. This year the event was held at the Hilton Downtown Nashville. It was a fun night with a great dinner and an awesome band. Here are a few pics from the night...
