Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend, Kyle and I (along with Phyllis, Dave, Jay, and several friends) went to Tunica.  Our Tunica trips are my of my favorite weekend getaways.  I love having a couple of days of no responsibility and sleeping good (and sleeping in).  It is always a refreshing weekend and one we truly look forward to.  While we didn't win big money, we did have a great time...playing cards, eating DELISH foods, and just hanging out.

While we were gone, Momma Pam kept the kids.  They had a blast.  They spent lots of time playing....and getting better.  Before we left, Kaden had to go to the doctor.  He had croup, an ear infection, and was put on drops for his eyes (preventive for pink eye).  During the weekend, Kathryn was not feeling 100% either.  So, she and Kyle went to Doctor's Care on Sunday once we got back into town.  They both had strep.  So, everyone in the house (except for me) is on antibiotics and other meds.  Needless to say, we are ready for everyone to be well!

What a week!

This was Kathryn's first week home with me (I didn't count last week since we were in Florida), and we have a busy, busy week!  Monday, she began swim lessons.  So all week, we were at the pool from 9-10.  Monday after lessons, she had a playdate with Emily Adams from 10-12:30 and then another playdate with Sydney Digby from 12:30-3:30.  Tuesday after swim lessons, we went with Mimi to Nashville to do a little (or a lot) of shopping.  The kids got tons of goodies.  We are so blessed to have a Mimi that loves to shop!  Wednesday after swim lessons, we went to the zoo with Maxx and Aimee.  And yesterday after swimming, we met up with Emerie Henley and her mom for lunch at Chick Fil A.  It has been an action packed week!  Kathryn has done pretty well in swim lessons.  She is swimming some on her own.  She is still afraid to jump into the water, but overall, she is making progress.  Today, we are finishing up the week by having a playdate with Sydney Digby again this afternoon.  Kathryn's social calendar is busier than mine!

Family Vacation 2013

Last week, the whole Ladd crew went back to Ponte Vedra, Florida for a week long vacation. It was a fun and exhausting week.  The following went...My mom, Kristin, Sean, Dakota, Garrett (7 years old), Jeff, Aimee, Maxx (3 years old), Me, Kyle (Kyle came down a few days later), Kathryn (4 years old), Kaden (11 months old), Brandon, Shannon, and Evie (2 years old).  The kids had an absolute blast playing together!  Kaden loved eating the sand at the beach, so he only went down there once.  Kathryn loved the beach this time around.  She loved playing in the sand and finding shells.  Even though in the moment times were stressful (having this many people/kids in one big house), it really was a great week spent with family!
