Kaden's recent Milestones

Kaden had a busy week...he cut his 3rd tooth (top second to the left), he is successfully pulling up and standing, we lowered his crib mattress and took out his crib bumper, and he ate his first non baby food (Cheerios).  He is really developing quickly.  He loves to follow me around the house, and he is pretty fast at crawling.  He really wants to climb up the stairs.  And, he loves trying to play in Bailey's food and water bowl.  He is a busy boy!

Weekend Wrap Up...BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!

This last weekend was a BUSY one!  Friday night, we went to the Jenkins for a cookout.  I had a great time catching up with the girls, and Kathryn had a blast playing with all the other kiddos.  Saturday morning, Kathryn had dance recital practice, then she had a birthday party, and I co-hosted a bridal shower for Amanda Griffin.  And, then Sunday we were up bright and early and spent the day in Camden visiting with family.  We all had a great weekend!

I just ran across this picture from the Rossview Elementary PTO website...the girls are way too cute on their first bus ride!

Peter Pan at The Roxy

Last night, we took Kathryn to see Peter Pan.  It was really good!  And, Captain Hook was amazing!  He was so talented and really looked like Captain Hook from the movie Hook.  Kathryn really enjoyed the play as well.  At one point, Peter Pan came into the audience and hid behind Kathryn's seat, she was pretty excited about this and was even more excited when he waved at her.  For a school night, the play ran a little late, but that is my only compliant.  The show was fun, and The Roxy is such a great, quaint theater.  I am glad we live in a community that offers these experiences locally and at a reasonable price!

Rossview Elementary Kindergarten Round Up

Last night was Round Up for Kathryn.  I really thought I was going to cry.  I cannot believe my baby girl is going to school in August.  I really felt like she was just born.  Kathryn is SO EXCITED about Rossview Elementary.  And, I am excited she will be right next door to me!!!  This whole process truly is bittersweet!

Weekend wrap up

This weekend was another great one!  Friday night, we celebrated Papa's 74th birthday by having dinner at Hananoki.  Kathryn LOVES the food at Hananoki, and this trip, she actually enjoyed the chef (she still wasn't crazy about the fire, but this is a HUGE improvement).  Saturday morning, we had a soccer game, and that afternoon Kyle and I headed to Nashville to celebrate Kailey's birthday.  We had the best time Saturday night.  Literally, I have not laughed that hard in a long time.  We must have been pretty loud at dinner because the people sitting next to us requested to move to another table.  After dinner, we went back to the Hands and just hung out.  It was a perfect night!  Sunday we skipped church and opted to sleep in.  Then Sunday afternoon, Kathryn and I ran tons of errands together and had "girl time."  I always love our girl time together!!!

Yesterday after school, Kathryn and I ran some errands together before her doctor's appointment.  One of our many conversations was about her school pictures that will be available for viewing today.  She said, "Mommy, my graduate (pronounced as if using it as a verb) pictures will be at school tomorrow."  Followed up by, "I am not sure what I am graduating, but it's something.  Maybe it's like a season or a holiday."  She is so funny!    

Kathryn was going to "surprise" the doctor when she came in.  And her appointment went well.  The strep is officially gone!!!!!

Weekend Wrap Up...Lots of Fun!!!

This past weekend was action packed and tons of fun!  Saturday Kathryn had a soccer game.  She is really loving soccer.  Right now, she says she wants to play soccer and not dance in the fall.  I am sure this decision will change several times before August.  After soccer, we headed to Springfield for lunch and a play date with the Callis girls.  Then Saturday night, I had a little bit of girl time at the Junior Auxiliary Wine Tasting Fundraiser.  Sunday we went to church, and afterwards we headed to the Nashville Zoo for a play date with the Hand family.  We had a wonderful weekend (and we all slept great Sunday night...we were all exhausted!).
