This past Friday, I decided to keep Kathryn home.  It was a way last minute decision, but I really wanted to spend the day with her.  We began by going by my work so I could tie up a few loose ends before beginning my maternity leave.  Then, we headed to the Public Library.  We read several books, picked out three to check out, and then spent time playing.  Next, we went to meet Daddy at work and went down to Blackhorse for a lunch date.  Afterwards, Kathryn and I came home, spent more time playing.  We ended our day by meeting up with Momma Pam and Garrett at Cold Stone Creamery for some delicious ice cream.  We had a wonderful Friday!!!!!

Celebrating Kathryn's 4th Birthday

This past Saturday, we celebrated Kathryn's 4th birthday with family and friends.  This year, her party was held at First Baptist Church's preschool playground.  We decided to have the party early due to extreme temps in the afternoon.  So, we had a 9:00 AM birthday bash serving breakfast, letting the kids play on the play ground as well as with bubbles, hula hoops, and balls, and then we had cake.  Afterwards, Kathryn opened gifts, and then everyone played some more.  I will have to say, it was the perfect morning for an outdoors party.  The temperature was comfortable, and there was a slight breeze.  Kathryn and all of her friends had a blast playing, and all the parents had a great time visiting and talking.  Since I was 37 weeks pregnant, I had lots of help from family and friends.  A special THANK YOU to Kiki, Kailey, and Stephanie...I couldn't have pulled it off without your help.

It's August Already!

This past weekend was a busy one indeed!  Kiki and Garrett came home, so Friday, Kathryn and I spent the entire day in Hoptown at Momma Pam's.  Saturday morning, we celebrated Kathryn's 4th birthday and then went to Hoptown afterwards to spend more time with family.  Sunday, Kathryn and I went to Kids N Play for a play date with Momma Pam and Garrett and then went to dinner.  Needless to say, by Sunday night, I was exhausted!  As always, we had the best time with family.  Kathryn loves spending time with her cousins Garrett and Maxx, and she always loves being with Kiki.  It was a fun weekend!!!!!
