Weekend Wrap Up: APSU Baseball, UTK College Tour, and AAU Basketball

 

Number 0 is my favorite!!!!!  He won his first game Sunday morning, and he lost the second game in overtime.  It was a good day for basketball and a lot of growth was shown!

Some weekends are busier than others...this past weekend...a busy one for sure!  Friday after work, Kathryn and I headed to Knoxville while Kyle and Kaden went to the APSU baseball game.  Saturday, Kathryn and I toured UTK while Kyle took Kaden to his first round of basketball games for this weekend's tournament.  Kaden's team lost both games on Saturday.  Saturday night, Kathryn and I got back home....just in time for dinner and bed.  Sunday morning we were up early and on the road to Wilson County for more basketball.  While it is a crazy busy time, I love watching Kaden play this game.  He seems to be enjoying this new team.

This week we finish up the regular season of Kathryn's Junior Year Tennis Season at Rossview High...And it has been a busy week!  Monday the team traveled to Hendersonville, TN...they didn't get back until almost 9 PM.  Tuesday we played at home against Henry County.  Last night we played at home again Kenwood.  And tonight we play at home against Montgomery County High School.  And then Friday, Kathryn and I head to Knoxville after school for a college visit at UTK...

We are all running on fumes...especially Kathryn.  On top of her busy tennis schedule, she is also managing a lot of classwork with her AP and Honors classes.  I don't know how she keeps it all together.  She is the most resilient person I know!  She keeps trucking along with a smile on her face.

In tennis this week, she has killed it!  She is playing the best she has played all year.  Last night, she won her singles 8-0, and she and Jillian won their doubles in a nailbiter.  We were all holding our breath as the girls closed on the win.  

I am loving these moments of cheering on my girl and her friends!  After this week, we head to districts for the tourney, and then we close out the season with a banquet!

The sweetest cousins!

Easter Sunday was perfect!  We went to the 7:30 service and afterwards hosted lunch at our home.  We had a great Easter lunch (we had 15 family members total for the day), and afterwards the kids hunted eggs.  Pammy fills the eggs and always has special eggs with gift cards.  We enjoyed being together and the beautiful weather!  We are thankful to celebrate our RISEN SAVIOR!!!
