Last Day of 6th Grade for Kaden

 

Today is the last day of 6th grade for my best boy!  He has embraced his first year of middle school fully!  He loved all the school spirit days and fun days.  The day in and day out regular school day...not his fav...but he did well this year academically, and we are proud!  Kaden is beyond ready for this summer break!  BRING ON SUMMER!!!!!

Kaden, we are SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!  Your transition to middle school...overall...went very well.  You maintained all A's and B's this school year which was not an easy feat.  You continue to shine in all that you do.  You are smart, kind, and funny.  You light up every room that you walk in to.  Everyone wants to be your friend, because you have a good heart, and you are so fun to be around.  Keep on being exactly who you are Kaden.  You are going to do big things in this world, and I am going to be here cheering you along every single step of the way!  I love you bigger than you could ever imagine!!!

The sweetest boy!

This weekend was a good one!  Friday night we had a family dinner at Dock 17.  It seems like with our crazy schedules, it has been hard for all 4 of us to get together for a meal...so Friday was extra sweet.  Saturday, Kathryn and I decorated for my school's prom, and Saturday night, I chaperoned the event.  Sunday we all went to chuch, and afterwards we went to the cemetary to visit with Uncle Michael for his earthly and heavenly birthday.  Then we did our usual Publix trip and for lunch tried a new Indian place that we all actually really liked.  Sunday evening, Kathryn's Emilo came over to meet us.  We grilled out and enjoyed getting to know him.  It was a pretty great weekend!  Now we head into the last week of the school year...ALL THE EMOTIONS!  Kaden will be going into 7th grade and Kathryn will be a Senior....all the feels for sure!

 Yesterday was Awards Day at Rossview High.  Kathryn received two awards.  One for academic excellence and the other for participation in the Mayor's Youth Council this year.  We are so proud of her and the hard work she puts in daily.  Kathryn, you have an incredible future ahead of you!

Being a mom is my fav thing in this entire world!  I can honestly say that I never knew or understood a love like this until having Kathryn and Kaden.  I feel so lucky and fortunate to be their mom.  This Mother's Day was filled with my fav things...the kids and Kyle helping around the house, church, time alone to read, an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, lunch at Gingham Cafe, dinner at The Thirsty Goat, and time to relax as a family.  I am thankful for all these moments...big and small.  Thank you God for this life!!!  

Saturday in Nashville to see the MJ Show at TPAC

 Last Saturday, we spent the day in Nashville.  We had lunch at the Assembly Food Hall and did some shopping pre show.  This is a show I had been dying to see, and it did not disappoint.  We all loved it!  I am so glad that Kathryn and Kaden love the theater as much as I do.  Kyle likes it too...just not as much as we do.  It was a perfect family day!
