A Little Bit About Me and Where I Come From...

My grandmothers two story condo before moving into her one story...I spent a lot of time here.

My Momma Hope's one story apartment

My elementary school site...I went to Morningside Elementary from Kindergarten all the way through 5th grade

The school was on this land...sadly, it was torn down

My high school...and I went to Hopkinsville Middle which was right next door (it is currently serving as an elementary school)

My great grandmother "Mom" lived here...I spent many nights here.  I would play outside and sometimes we would have a picnic in the breezeway area at the picnic tables.  I LOVED going to Mom's apartment.  She always had Nu Grape soda and Mars candy bars.  She also made the best scrambled eggs.  Mom would always play games with me like the game Memory.  We would watch TV together...The Andy Griffith Show, Dennis the Menace, The Price is Right, Lassie, and Mister Ed were some of our favorites.  This was one of my fav places to come growing up!

In high school, I went to First Baptist

Cheeseburger with POK...Pickle, Onion, and Ketchup...one of my favs growing up!

I worked for this photography studio for about 5 years

The Little River at the Hopkinsville Public Library...Loved coming here and walking across these stones

Hopkinsville Community College...went to school for two years here before transferring to APSU

Pretty sure this is the EXACT jungle gym I played on as a kid at Ruff Park

Ruff Park...spend MANY summer nights here watching my brothers play baseball

The church I went to as a child

My childhood home...I lived here until I was 15.  We used to have two big trees in the front yard that I played in.  Both are cut down now.  But this home holds so many special memories...412 E Parkview
We lived near an appliance store.  Often, I would go looking in the alley for big appliance boxes.  I would carry them home and use them outside and in the trees to make forts.  I had to best time playing outside!

This Minut Mart...I would walk here all the time as a child and would bring change to buy candy...Atomic Balls, Lemon Heads, Fun Dip, and Nerds were at the top of my list each trip.

The Train Track...we lived near this track and I loved hearing the train.  I spent many days setting pennies on the track waiting for the train to come and then looking for the pennies to see if any got flattenend.  I would also cross the track to walk to Kroger, KMart, and the mall area.  I would be gone all day.

Hopkinsville will always hold a special place in my heart and will always feel like home when I am there.  This is just a small snippet of my life gorowing up there.

Vegas!

Well, it is no secret...we love Vegas!  And, we love Vegas in the summer time because we love a good pool day or two.  We went with some of our friends, and we all had a blast.  We tried some new food places, had two pool days, did IV therapy 3 days in a row, went to come of our fav places, played some cards, went to two speakeasies, and made lots of memories.

Gordon Ramsey's Pub...our fav predinner drink spot

When your sibling is your BFF

They don't always like to admit it, but they are each others best friend...and for that, I am thankful!  They really tend to lean on one another when times seems difficult.  For example, last week at church camp, Kaden hung out with Kathryn many times because he didn't like what some of the boys his age were doing.  And in this pic here, Kathryn took Kaden to the movies.  She could have asked a friend to go, but instead, she chose Kaden.  From the time Kaden was born, I have always told them that friends will come and go, but they will always have each other.  I have said all these years that they are each others best friend.  As they have gotten older...I believe this to be true.
