Tickets for NBA Basketball...Grizz vs Spurs

Well, Christmas looked a little different this year, and I was A OKAY with that!  On the Sunday before Christmas (Dec 22nd), Kathryn was asked to play her harp in all 3 services.  Since family was already going to be in town, we decided it was the perfect day to celebrate Christmas.  Back months ago, Kyle and I booked a trip leaving Christmas morning.  We knew we needed to celebrate Christmas early, so this seemed like a great plan.  We all went to church to watch Kathryn play.  Kyle and I left after the second service so we could get lunch ready.  Kaden stayed.  After the third service, everyone came to our home.  When Kathryn walked in, she saw the stockings out and got upset.  She did not want to do Christmas early.  I probably should have prepped her a little better.  She told all her friends (via SnapChat) that "mom ruined Christmas."  She did not want to open any gifts or her stocking.  Initially, we were saving the best gift for last...but we had to change it up.  I told Kathryn there was one gift that would be opened, and she could determine if she wanted to open any others after that.  So we started with the Puzzle gift.  The kids got it put together, and they quickly realized...we are heading to Turks and Caicos!  And let me note, Kaden is super laid back and never complained about opening gifts early...LOL.  They are polar opposite kiddos!  After putting the puzzle together, Kathryn decided it was okay to open the rest of her gifts and stocking.  Both kids got everything they wanted and more!  We did scale back on gifts this year, but you couldn't really tell.  For lunch we had all the finger foods and for dinner we had lasagna.  Everything was so good!  The best part...being together with family!  Blessed in an understatement!
