Our last full day of vacation was great. Everyone in the house felt better...finally! We spent the day playing hard and enjoying time with family. Friday night, we went to dinner at the Black Marlin...they had the best fried cheese I think I have ever had! After dinner, we had family beach pics...I am excited to get those back! That night, the kids went crabbing. Kathryn and Kaden had a blast!!! Mom said that after Kaden caught his first one he did a victory dance followed up by the "stinky leg." Saturday morning, we headed out early. Before going, Kathryn sorted through shells, and we watched the sunrise. On the way out of town, we stopped into Dunkin Donuts for a quick breakfast. While in line, Kaden asked me to throw him away in the trash can. The man behind us in line looked horrified. What Kaden wanted me to do was pick him up and throw him on the booth bench (when I "throw him away" it is always on the bed and he loves it!). None the less, I thought it was funny, and I didn't explain to the guy in line what Kaden meant...I thought I would let the guy think on it. Also on this trip, Kaden started ordering "ice water with no ice and a lemon" for his drink...he is getting way too big (and funny)!!! On our way home, we stopped in Nashville for Jackson's 2nd bday party. This worked out great. The kids were able to play and get out some energy from the long car ride. Although traveling with kids and staying with everyone in one big house is exhausting, it is fun, and we make lasting memories. And, side note...we usually go to Florida. I was glad we went somewhere different. This was my first time in South Carolina. I really liked it, but I am a Florida girl at heart and while I am glad we went there for the week, I definitely still want to retire in Florida some day.
