Kaden: Flag Football Season

My fav player!!!!!

It was HOT...I kept a cold towel for him in the cooler
My guy has been awesome on the football field for Flag.  Watching him play and have fun while doing it...perfection!  He is scoring, he even plays QB at times and does well, and he plays defensively too.  He is a threat on both side of the field.  And I love watching him and cheering him on!

Catching Up: Maxx's Soccer Game, Kathryn's Sorority Rush, and more...

Scored this cutie candle!!!

Final day...Pref!

Kaden: Flag Football

I am so sad I missed Kaden's games this past weekend.  He played his heart out scoring multiple times to include a game winning touchdown.  I wish I had pics, but I don't.  Just didn't want this moment for him to go unnoticed.  My boy is loving Flag Football and is dominating on the field!!!!!

Sorority Recruitment Time for KHL!

Day 4

Day 3

I had to document her at the Chi O house :)

Kathryn and her roommate Mira

Day 2 outfit...Day 1 outfit was a video, so I don't have a pic
She is meeting so many new people and living her best rush life.  After first round cuts, she was invited back to 12 houses which was the max.  She got a ton of houses at the top of her list.  Tonight everyone ranks again.  I am so excited to see where she runs on Sunday!  She is going to LOVE Greek life!!!!!

Kathryn is officially in Tallahassee!

Dolly's was cool!  They have her famous cinnamon bread...it was delish!

And...we stopped at Dolly's new stop

Peach Park in Clanton on the way home from Tally

We did it!

All the things that have to fit in two cars
It was a whirlwind weekend...

Wednesday night, we had our last night together at home...Kathryn wanted Raffertys for dinner, Sonic for dessert, and to play spades, so that is what we did!  Then Thursday morning we hit the road to FSU.  With two cars full, we made the trek down.  We stopped in Birmingham for lunch...we stop here often.  We got to Tally late...due to traffic (1-65 was closed).  We were exhausted from driving so we went straight to the hotel and ordered pizza.  Friday morning, we were able to take it easy.  Kathryn's move in time wasn't until 2 PM, so we took advantage of the time and had lunch at Madison Social and did a little shopping.  At 1:30, we headed to Wildwood South.  8-10 sorority girls helped us unload the cars and got us in Kathryn's room.  We had time to get things assembled and organized before dinner time.  It was a grind, but the hard work paid off.  Kathryn's room looks great!  She and her roommate Mira got settled in quickly!

Saturday morning, Kathryn had her first rush meeting at 7:45 AM, so we went by her dorm to give her a final hug before heading home.  I thought I would feel really sad.  But I didn't.  I felt really happy, because Kathryn was so incredibly happy and excited to be on campus.  It is hard to be sad when you see your child so happy and exactly where she is supposed to be!

Flying High 2026

We had a fun night at this year's Flying High.  As a previous chair, this event always holds a special place in my heart.  This year, Kyle's bank was the title sponsor.  The theme was Capri Nights, and the committee did an outstanding job putting this event together.

Kathryn is 18!

Also, this guy had his first flag football game and killed it!  3 touchdowns!  Let's gooooo!!!!

I don't know how we got here this quickly...but here we are!  My baby girl is an adult!  18!!!!!  Kathryn you are so loved.  You are my little best friend, and I couldn't imagine life without you.  You are a light in this world, and your future is so bright!  I am excited to continue cheering you on in the days and years ahead!

For her bday this year, she painted pottery with friends and had dinner at Blackhorse.  Two of her fav things!!!!!  We celebrated her Saturday morning with an ice cream cake (her request) and then she went to Nashville with a friend and had an great afternoon.  She finished the day having dinner with Kaden (Indian food...also her pick).  It was a fun week celebrating our best girl!!!!!
