Tis the season to Donate...

Yesterday Kathryn cut off 9 inches of hair to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. She has been asking since this summer to cut her hair short, so we decided to let it grow a little longer before cutting it off so she would have enough to donate. Kathryn went to Ms. Laura (my hair stylist) and got all fixed up.

Kaden's Christmas Program

Last Friday was Kaden's Christmas Program. And, out of all the kids in his class, he participated the most. When he first walked in, he decided to sit down. But, he didn't cry. At the end of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, he clapped for himself. The next song had specific moves, and Kaden was the only one in his class to participate. At one part the kids were suppose to jump...Kaden decided to jump across the floor in front of all his friends. It was too funny. And then at the end of the second song, he clapped for himself again. Needless to say, everyone (including this momma) was a little bit tickled by his performance.

Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend was filled with Christmas fun and family time. Friday night, Kyle and I took the kids to Nashville to finish up our Christmas shopping. Saturday, we went back to Nashville to see ICE at Opryland, and the Hands met up with us too. Sunday, Kathryn and I along with Momma Pam and Mimi went to brunch at the Fontanel Mansion (which was DELISH!) and then went to see The Nutcracker at TPAC. Needless to say, it was a busy weekend filled with lots of driving, but it was totally worth every trip. Nashville has so much to offer, and we are thankful to live less than an hour away.

The end of November and Beginning of December

So much has happened during this past month...including the crash of my laptop which somewhat explains my lack of blogging. I have a "loaner" while the school system orders me a new one, but I didn't want to put a bunch of pictures on the loaner. And, honestly, life has been busy! But here are a few highlights from this past month...

1. Kyle and I along with several friends went to the Justin Timberlake concert on Nov 15th. We had a blast!!!
2. We celebrated Thanksgiving with our families. We ate way too much, but we enjoyed the time with family.
3. We had an ice storm come through, therefore our usual Christmas parties were canceled (the McCoy's Annual Santa Party, the Planter's Bank Women's Party, and the bank's Spouse party). While I was bummed to miss these parties due to the weather, it was kind of nice have those nights at home.
4. We had the Annual Kids' Christmas Party at the Hale's home. As always, it was lots of fun and the kids had a great time.

Other than that, we have had the usual hustle and bustle of each day. I am so looking forward to Christmas Break. I can't wait to have the extra time to spend with my family.
