We had a much unexpected and much needed WEEK off from school due to snow and ice. This entire past week has been spent at home doing what we love to do best: being together as a family. We have cooked, played, made jewelry, read books, watched movies, danced, made snow cream, had snow ball fights, did tons of sledding, stayed in pjs all day, ate way too much food, and just enjoyed every single minute of being together snowed in. It was a great change of pace. Kathryn and Kaden have been so good, and they have played together so well. And, I truly hate to see the snow melt and for reality to kick back in on Monday. So many of my friends have complained of cabin fever, but I have been so content at home with my babies. I think God gave us this week intentionally. I think he wanted us to slow down and enjoy the moment. And, that is exactly what we did!

Post outside playing...his cheeks were bright red! |

This girl was rosy cheeked too after playing out in the snow |

We got an inch or two of ice and then several inches of snow on top of that...this is the snow drift on our front porch |
