Thanksgiving weekend was pretty amazing! Tuesday night we went and saw Moana 2 as a family. I spent all day Wednesday putting dishes together, setting tables, cleaning, and getting everything ready for our Thanksgiving Day Lunch. We have an extensive menu, and I do most of the cooking. There are a few things I pick up (pies and a few sides) because I don't have time to do it all.
On Thanksgiving Day, we have everyone over for lunch. We watch the Macy's Day Parade while we finish up the cooking. The kids all play together while the adults hang out talking. After everyone leaves and we clean up...we get out all the Christmas decor. This year we got the tree up and decorated the entire house on Thanksgiving evening.
Black Friday, Kathryn and I met up with Pammy and spent the day shopping. I got TONS done. Once home, I ordered a few things.
Saturday was great! I ran a few errands, but I mainly got to RELAX! Kathryn stated on Saturday that we loved Thanksgiving leftovers because it is like Thanksgiving without all of the chaos. I had to laugh. I actually love all the people and chaos, but I know she stresses out a little about it.
Sunday after church, we had our normal day of grocery shopping, meal prepping, and I was able to finish a book (Wicked).
It was truly an awesome weekend!!!
